Instead of toys, my childhood was defined by a thriving candy business fueled by small loans from my parents and sales to classmates and customers at my mom’s bustling store. Even then, I understood the power of meeting a need – whether it was a sweet treat or, later, the desire for a better life. I channeled that drive into providing for myself, even acquiring school uniforms and shoes, a significant luxury in our modest household.
Discipline and the relentless pursuit of my dreams became my hallmarks. I learned early that change demands adaptation, a willingness to be different, and to push beyond the ordinary. This commitment and unwavering consistency forged a resilience that would define my path. Law school provided a strong foundation, but the allure of America beckoned. With hard-earned savings and a student visa, I embarked on a new chapter, the echoes of those childhood candy sales fueling my ambition. Landing a contract in the Big Apple felt surreal, like stepping into the limelight.
Miami’s vibrant energy has been my home for decades, and my personal growth has mirrored the city’s transformation. How could I not be captivated by the Magic City, a melting pot of Hispanic, Jewish American, Caribbean, Haitian, and countless other cultures? The city’s moniker, born from its explosive growth in the early 1900s, still resonates today, reflecting Miami’s dynamic spirit – and its captivating blend of accents and words, exemplified by influential figures like Maile Aguirre, who played a pivotal role in shaping Brickell’s skyline.
Miami’s architecture and skyline sparked my fascination with its real estate. My legal background provided a solid base, but I immersed myself in the industry, mastering its intricacies. For years, I collaborated with top professionals on some of Miami’s most iconic pre-construction developments, including W South Beach, Continuum, Apogee, Icon South Beach, Brickell, L’atelier, St. Regis, Kai Bay Harbour, Epic Brickell, Infinity Brickell, SLS Lux, and 1000 Museum.
