Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Dilallo
Hi Matthew, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My wife, Addison, and I started the practice right out of school. We both were athletes growing up. Addison played soccer and lacrosse.. While I played a little of everything but specialized in football, particularly kicking and punting footballs. Through our athletic career and life we experienced set backs and injuries like most, but we were interested and driven to fix ourselves in order to continue our career. That drive I think is one of the reasons we got into the health and wellness field and what continues to drive us today.
A Palm Beach County native, Dr. DiLallo’s journey began at Wellington High School, where he excelled in football, earning all-county and state honors. His exceptional skills attracted attention from Division 1 programs, leading him to continue his football career at the University of Colorado. As the four-year starting punter, Dr. DiLallo set new standards in the Big 12, earning Freshman 1st team All-American honors in his inaugural year and setting enduring records at CU and in the Big 12. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiology from the University of Colorado and a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Florida.
Before pursuing chiropractic education at Palmer, Dr. DiLallo contributed his expertise as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates, working with their minor league teams in Bradenton, Florida. Presently, Dr. DiLallo serves as the Team Chiropractor for the U-17 and U-20 USA Men’s National Soccer Teams and doubles as a Punting and Kicking Coach, mentoring high school and collegiate kickers and punters with Kohl’s Kicking and OneOnOneKicking.
Dr. Seitter, a licensed Chiropractic Physician, earned the title of Salutatorian at Palmer College of Chiropractic (Florida). Her academic excellence was further recognized with the Academic Excellence Award, graduating with the highest honors of Summa Cum Laude. A native of Vero Beach, Florida, Dr. Seitter’s educational journey began at St. Edward’s School, where her passion for soccer and lacrosse earned her multiple national and state honors.
Continuing her academic pursuits at the University of Miami, Dr. Seitter obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Chemistry. Her dedication to sports seamlessly integrated into her time at Palmer, where she actively participated in the Sports Council Club, providing care to athletes at prestigious events like the Southeast Crossfit Regionals and the RAGNAR Relay from Miami, FL, to Key West, FL, among others.
In addition to her National Board Certification, Dr. Seitter holds a plethora of certifications, including Full Body ART (Active Release Technique Certified), Graston Technique Certified, DNS A (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization Part A), SFMA (Selective and Functional Movement Assessment), FAKTR (Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab Certified), and RockTape FMT (Functional Movement Taping Level 1 & 2 Certified). She is also Webster Technique Certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and serves as the Palm Beach Gardens regional director for BIRTHFIT.
Dr. Seitter’s commitment to continuous learning is evident as she works towards her Certification from the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP) through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). With a holistic approach to chiropractic care and a specialization in pediatric chiropractic, Dr. Seitter is dedicated to empowering individuals and families on their wellness journey.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
“Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty… I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.”
― Theodore Roosevelt
Over the last 10 years the road has not been smooth. There have been good time and very tough times. When you first open a practice people just don’t come running through the door on day one. I think we maybe saw 1 patient our first week in business. But we keep our heads down and trusted our skills and slowly 1 a week turned into 1 a day and we continued to grow consistently over the years.
One of the biggest struggles was constantly being told no or no thank you. Even with all the no’s over the years we persevered and continued to pursue our dream and trust our skills.
We’ve been impressed with Performance and Wellness Chiropractic, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
First, we are a family business. My wife and I started the practice 10 years ago now and our kids are often running around the office. We treat people of all ages from new borns to the elderly. Being former athletes we built our practice on sports medicine but we have since branched out into all ages. It started with the athletes and now we treat the athletes families and loved ones.
Our business has grown solely on a referral basis which we take pride in. We try to focus on helping the people in our office achieve their goals to the best of our and their ability and trust that our work can speak for itself.
Unlike a lot of offices we take our time with our patients. Our average visit with one of the Doctors in the office is often more than 20 minutes. Outside of the treatment, one of our main goals is to teach. We want to empower the patient to take control of their own health and well being so that they are not reliant on the medical system to tell them what their body needs. We have always liked this quote by Socrates “It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable”
What was your favorite childhood memory?
This is not a childhood memory but a memory that stands out in the practice to date. It was having the fortunate opportunity to work with the U-17 and U-20 Mens National Soccer Teams back in 2017-2019. We had the opportunity to be their team chiropractor and travel the world with them to places such as India, Spain, Poland and Costa Rica. We got to see and be a part of the U-17 and U-20 World Cups. Now a lot of those kids are now making their debuts on the current Mens National Team for US Soccer. It was an honor and a privilege to able to have that opportunity.
