Conversations with Raquel Roget

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raquel Roget

Hi Raquel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m Raquel, and I grew up in North Jersey, right outside Manhattan. My family always encouraged my love of arts and culture, which motivated me to pursue my passion for fashion. By high school, I was already taking pre-college classes at F.I.T in New York City, where I began building my network and landed my first internships. Soon after, I started creative-directing my own photo shoots and even got them published in online magazines—all while still in high school.

After I graduated, I launched a small e-commerce clothing business. Around that time, people kept noticing the models I cast and the creative vision I brought to my shoots, suggesting I should work in the modeling industry. I took a chance and became a model scout and casting director in New York City. However, when the pandemic hit, I was forced to pivot due to COVID restrictions. I transitioned into marketing and e-commerce within the fashion and beauty industries and have been expanding my portfolio and network ever since.

Currently, I collaborate with Yellow Hammer Salon Group, which owns over 100 SmartStyle salons in Walmarts across the U.S. I’ve also worked with LITTIL, a seven-figure consumer tech company with a thriving Amazon channel, as well as various celebrity-owned salons and hairstylists. Another exciting partnership is with FEET-NESS a woman-owned Pilates brand. I’ve had the privilege of working with numerous innovative brands and even took part in Miami Swim Week last year, assisting backstage and helping designers secure placements for their collections.

That’s the essence of my background and the journey that brought me to where I am today—and I absolutely love what I do!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Breaking into the fashion and beauty industry in marketing was initially a challenge, but once I got my foot in the door, things started to fall into place. One of the biggest hurdles I faced was mastering the art of pitching—whether it was for influencer partnerships, securing new clients, or collaborating with others. Over time, I refined my pitching skills, and now it’s one of my greatest strengths, working seamlessly across all aspects of my work.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

At Roget Studios, I specialize in bringing brands to life through strategic organic marketing and creative direction, particularly in the fashion and beauty industries. I’m known for combining a keen eye for aesthetics with results-driven strategies, whether that involves social media content, email campaigns, influencer collabs, or compelling on-the-ground content creation. My goal is to help brands not only look great but also thrive!

I’m most proud of the tangible impact I’ve made on my clients’ businesses! Helping them increase brand visibility, strengthen their online presence, and ultimately boost revenue. Beyond the numbers, I take pride in forming genuine, long-lasting partnerships, with amazing people. I’ve worked with mainly women-owned businesses so seeing clients’ visions come to life and watching them grow fuels my passion for what I do.

What truly sets me apart is my ability to bridge creativity and strategy seamlessly. I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach; each brand has a unique story, and I tailor my services to amplify that story in a way that resonates with its audience. With my diverse background as well, it helps me offer so many different perspectives to my clients.

Any big plans?
In the future, I envision transitioning more toward the creative strategy side of my work! I’m excited to dive deeper into on-the-ground production, more creative direction, and even revisit casting to bring fresh concepts to life.

I love exploring all the different facets of creativity, and taking on more hands-on roles allows me to collaborate with a variety of talent and brands on a more personal level. Whether that’s producing larger-scale shoots or shaping innovative campaigns, I look forward to expanding my skill set and continuing to grow as a creative strategist.
