Community Highlights: Meet Jonathan Rodriguez of ASP SuperHome

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Rodriguez

Hi Jonathan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started this journey at the age of 21, working out of my mother’s garage back in 2006. Like many entrepreneurs, the road wasn’t easy—we faced countless hurdles to keep the business alive, including making the difficult decision to foreclose on both my home and my mother’s. Through it all, I’ve remained deeply grateful to God, whose blessings made everything possible, and I never lost faith in what we were building.

Our success has been rooted in resilience, unwavering belief in our mission, and the support of an incredible team made up of friends and family. Together, we’ve created a business that’s not just about what we do, but why we do it: to protect and serve other families like our own. It’s been a humbling and rewarding journey, and I’m grateful for every challenge that’s shaped us along the way.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t believe there are many success stories without bumps along the way, and ours is no exception. Our biggest challenge was ensuring that everyone who placed their trust in us—our staff, customers, and suppliers—was taken care of. We prioritized paying our team for their hard work, completing projects for our customers, and keeping our commitments to our suppliers. To make this happen, my wife Yesenia, my father Oscar, my mother Lourdes, and I went seven years without paying ourselves.

The toughest moment of all was coming home and seeing that eviction notice on the door. It was a stark reminder of the sacrifices we were making. But through it all, we kept our faith and stayed focused on the bigger picture, which has made where we are today all the more meaningful.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about ASP SuperHome?
Our journey began in 2006, specializing in hurricane-rated impact windows and doors. Over the years, we’ve grown and expanded our offerings, and in 2019, we introduced new product lines, including roofing, solar panels, and remodeling, to better serve our clients’ needs.

What truly sets us apart is the complete experience we provide from start to finish. We pride ourselves on over-communicating at every stage of the process, ensuring our clients are informed and confident. Our installers treat every project as if it were their own home, and one of the most consistent pieces of feedback we receive is that we leave homes cleaner than when we arrived.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of what we’ve built as a family-run business, despite the common belief that working with friends and family can be nearly impossible. Our team’s bond is a core part of our success, and it shows in how we care for our clients. Many of them end up feeling like family, which is why we emphasize the ASP Family.

To us, it’s more than just a business—it’s about protecting and enhancing homes and lives with the same care we’d offer to our own loved ones.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as fulfilling our purpose in life, which, as the Bible teaches, is rooted in helping others. Success isn’t just about personal achievements or material gains—it’s about the impact we have on the lives of those around us. Whether it’s through the work we do, the relationships we nurture, or the way we serve our community, true success lies in uplifting and supporting others.

For me, it’s about leaving a legacy of kindness, faith, and service—ensuring that the gifts we’ve been blessed with are used to make a positive difference. If I can look back and see that we’ve helped others and lived with integrity and purpose, then I’ll know we’ve succeeded.
