Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Currently, I am an Honor Cybersecurity Management major at Nova Southeastern University where I have started the venture of ‘The Soul Talks’. While delving into a study of objectivity and artificial intelligence, I have interspersed it with my passion for spiritual learnings. This is due to the fact that they are directly proportional to each other; the need for spirituality will grow as artificial intelligence progresses exponentially. So, this is my background and journey of how I started this:
The pandemic time was a significant moment of epiphany for
everyone. As for me, it was a turning point for me to develop my experiential
knowledge. During the year 2020, I started working with several organizations
globally to gain some highlights for my resume, at first.
That year onwards I started working as a student leader at Intel’s AI4Youth
initiative, project manager at New York Academy of Sciences (designing
sustainable development goal projects), speaker at UNICEF (water conservation
conference), content manager at ClimateHug (Australia) as well as various other
insightful positions. In fact, I gained experience with seventeen organizations
around the world. It rendered me diverse perspectives and bolstered my approach
to situations in life.
The most prevalent issue around the world that struck me was the lacunae of
mental and spiritual health. As a result, the pandemic times were that of immense
self-introspection. At the same, my mother- Vanuka Sahi- (my inspiration and role model) was
pursuing astrology (discipline that elucidates the planetary impacts on people’s
lives). In fact, my mother has had a very diverse background into this domain especially after being a microbiologist, senior business analyst and information systems designer.
I developed an interest for the realm of astrology and started learning a great deal
about it. My mother and me would delve into soulful, mindful and spiritual
discussions of the astrological revelations and life, in general. As a matter of fact,
these discussions would actually provide wonderful mental solace. Moreover, the
exchange of ideas would completely alter our thinking styles.
I started a *blogging and *podcasting venture called as ‘The Sacred Truth of the
Universe’ and ‘The Soul Talks’ in the winter of 2020. The posts encapsulated the
most common phenomena with a spiritual perspective, which viewers would
relate to.
Therefore, my mother and me partnered up to render spirituality with a ‘Gen Z.” perspective and highlighting the helpfulness that could be attained from spiritual practices and astrology as well! One factor realized was the amount of clarity in times of ambiguity. This is, actually, a bliss for the upcoming generations which are getting lost and directionless in their high-paced lives and rapid developments.
During my journey of blogging, podcasting and studying
astrology, I visited several spiritual centers such as the Dalai Lama Spiritual
Centre (Dharamshala) and shared my experiences. Every visit of mine would
pique my curiosity about the spiritual existence of the universe. For example,
“Why is meditation important for our energy points in the body?”, “how the
interaction of people can alter the universal energy?”, or “how do planets impact
our lives?” or “What is the power of hymns and mantras?”.
Finally, to implement this passion of guiding the people around the artistic pursuits such as podcasting and blogging, we fostered an organization- The Soul Talks whose mentor and advisor is Ms. Vanuka Sahi and President is Vanya Sahi. We started this at the university as well since it also happens to be my mother’s alma mater; thus, being part of the NSU Shark family.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Challenges are usually the positive conception of hurdles that are inevitable onto every path to success of a venture. The part that required extra attention was spreading awareness of this novel concept of spiritual podcasting especially during the pandemic times. However, whatever happens, occurs for a good reason. Owing to the increased dependence on technology during the 2020 events, digital ventures and avenues were reinforced.
Secondly, many people have this popular misconception of spirituality with a particular religion or illogical premises. On the other hand, I would like to say that spirituality is basically a manual of the science of happiness and contentment. In fact, every spiritual practice is absolutely practical and based on the ancient sciences which were very fruitful even then.
For instance, astrology is an in-depth version of the gravitational impact of the celestial objects on our lives.
