Conversations with Edoardo Rocco Basile

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edoardo Rocco Basile

Hi Edoardo Rocco, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Since childhood, I’ve been involved in the marble industry, learning from my father and developing a passion for marble in both construction and design. Over time, I worked to grow our family business, founded in 1947, focusing on quality, service, and the uniqueness of every piece of marble. In the past two years, we’ve expanded internationally, particularly into the South Florida market, where we focus mainly on single-family luxury residential properties. Over the past 30 years, we’ve also built strong relationships with top European luxury brands in watches and fashion, further elevating our work.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey has had challenges, particularly with expanding internationally and adapting to the competitive U.S. market. South Florida, with its unique demands, required us to innovate while staying true to our legacy. The rise of non-natural materials also posed a challenge, but I remind clients that marble, like diamonds, has unmatched purity and value that synthetic materials can’t replicate.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What sets us apart is our commitment to creating unique pieces of art. We blend traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, ensuring each project is distinct. We also share the history of every marble piece, from quarry to installation. Our work with luxury European brands in watches and clothing has further refined our approach and reputation for precision.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Risk is part of the game. Expanding into South Florida was a significant risk, but it’s been rewarding. Without taking risks, you can’t stand out or stay ahead of the competition. To succeed, you must embrace challenges and be willing to push boundaries.
