Rising Stars: Meet Madison Ramirez of Pinecrest

Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Ramirez

Hi Madison, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Having graduated from the University of Miami, and obtaining a marketing degree, I found myself feeling as though I wanted more for my career and my future. My mother, who has owned a photography business for 25 years, extended an invitation to join her team and take over the business. Without hesitation I accepted and joined her team in 2019. I am now a lead photographer specializing in newborn and children photography and the studio has gained popularity for its unique style and customized newborn photography. I have found my true calling and can’t wait to see where this new venture will take me.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A year after beginning my photography career, we were hit by Covid and our business took a huge hit as did the world in general. We had to reevaluate and restructure our business. It took us a few months to adjust, but it was smooth sailing from that point on. That time although difficult, was a huge lesson for me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I photograph newly born babies, usually under 10 days old. I’m currently photographing over 20 babies a month and each session is unique and tailored to the client. We customize the session and provide parents with beautifully crafted and curated portraits.

What are your plans for the future?
We plan to expand our work to provide “in home” sessions. Making the experience even more comfortable and convenient by coming to the new parents home is something we have been thinking about for years. After many requests to photograph their newborn in the comfort of their homes, we will be providing this service in the very near future.
