Today we’d like to introduce you to David Tancredi
David, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a professional Bartender and also a journalist.
From the age of 17, I started in the world of mixology and example. In Maracaibo. I even paid for my career in Social Communication with that job.
In 2012 I went to the capital, there I worked as a sports journalist on a renowned television channel at the national level.
I later came to the United States in 2015,
Because of political problems in my country, I had to make the decision to stay here and start from 0.
In this country it is very important to have a specialty in something. As a journalist, I couldn’t get anything that left me financially enough to live. That’s why I decided to go back to the world of cocktails by setting up my own business. Which has been gradually enlarged, starting with only Bartender service, now we have much larger events and we offer different alternatives to clients for their events.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Language was a big obstacle. Anyone who has plans to emigrate to a country that does not speak their language has to prepare very well for good job opportunities. .
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have two facets:
Bartender
I have an event company where we provide private service of bartenders, servers, animation, DJs, etc…
Journalist:
I work as an animator and narrator of sporting events in Miami. I write for a magazine and work in a local city media outlet (Miami News 24) as a reporter.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Although we know that events will never end, neither will people stop trying cocktails. What is a little frightening is the technological advance that exists and that in the next few years the figure of the Bartender is replaced by a robot or an automatic system that siva drinks and even talks to its customers artificially.
