Check Out Sammie Cruz’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sammie Cruz

Hi Sammie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
From a young age—around 11—I always knew I wanted to be a content creator, even though that wasn’t the term back then. During the early days of YouTube, the dream was to become a “beauty guru.” At 12, I launched my own YouTube channel, creating beauty tutorials, fashion videos, and vlogs documenting my daily life.

By high school, I started modeling in my free time to get my name out there and make connections. For about four years, I worked as a freelance model almost full-time, and I still do it occasionally. But my true passion has always been content creation. I love the process of recording videos, editing them, and creating mini-movies about my day or the adventures I go on. There’s something fulfilling about sitting in front of a camera and talking about makeup or whatever’s on my mind—it’s what brings me joy.

Now, I’m excited to announce my new business venture, Content by Sammie. Whether you need content for social media or simply want to capture special memories, I’m here to help. You can hire me to record the moments you want to be fully present for, while I ensure the details and memories are preserved.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life is never a smooth road. The bumps we encounter are lessons that guide us to where we’re meant to be. I firmly believe everything happens for a reason. Along with being a full-time content creator, I also work full-time in healthcare, and I’m currently in the process of starting my bachelor’s degree at FIU. Balancing all of this is no easy feat, but I’m willing to do whatever it takes to achieve my dreams and goals.

Some of those bumps have included the reactions of family and friends when I transitioned my social media from personal to business, revealing who truly supported me and who wanted to see me fail. I’ve also experienced challenges working with businesses that make promises they don’t keep, been involved in Photoshop fails where companies altered my appearance, and dealt with creepy photographers. The list goes on, but each challenge has only strengthened my resolve.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ve become known for my editing and content creation. I love capturing moments and creating “video scrapbooks” to look back on. In the past, I did a lot of freelance modeling throughout Miami, which I enjoyed as it was an instant confidence booster.

Recently, I announced my new business venture, Content by Sammie. My goal is to ensure clients get the photos and videos they want from their special moments as quickly as possible, allowing them to be fully present without worrying about capturing the content themselves. Unlike other businesses that may take weeks or months to deliver, I provide my clients with their photos and videos within 24 hours.

Recording and capturing moments is something I’m passionate about, whether I’ve been hired to do it or not. After filming countless events and memories, I realized, “Why not turn this into a business?” For the first time, I feel truly ready to launch something new because filming and shooting feels like second nature to me. And now, I have the opportunity to turn my passion into both a full-time career and hobby—who wouldn’t dream of that?

How do you think about happiness?
My family brings me so much happiness. My parents are my biggest supporters, and I can’t imagine what I would do without them. My partner of six and a half years has also been by my side, helping to make my dreams a reality.

Living a healthy life and being present is what makes me the happiest. After working in healthcare for three years, I’ve learned how much we often take our health for granted. I feel incredibly blessed to be where I am right now—healthy, with a roof over my head, food on the table, a job that supports me, and a strong support system that loves me for who I am.
