Today we’d like to introduce you to Ariana Lopez
Hi Ariana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Ariana, and I am originally from Honduras but was raised in Miami, Florida. I spent most of my early years in Miami before moving to Port St. Lucie, Florida, where I currently reside and run my business.
From a young age, I have always been passionate about hair, makeup, and all things beauty. However, I initially didn’t believe I could turn this passion into a career, so I pursued other paths, working in banking and restaurants. Despite my efforts, I never felt fulfilled in those roles, something always seemed missing.
I also experienced challenging relationships, including a period of domestic violence that took a significant toll on my physical and mental well-being. During that time, I had to put my dreams on hold to focus on healing and rebuilding myself.
After taking a break and working through those difficult moments, I was fortunate to meet a wonderful man who is now my husband. He is incredibly supportive, and I am grateful every day to share my life with him.
Through this journey, I began investing in my personal growth and pursuing my passion wholeheartedly.
For years, I enjoyed doing makeup for family and friends at their special events, though I didn’t consider it professionally until the COVID pandemic, which led me to reevaluate my life choices. It was then that I decided to fully commit to a career in beauty and to take this calling seriously.
The journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve faced setbacks and, at times, doubt from those around me. Fortunately, I had supportive Husband, family and friends who believed in me and encouraged me to believe in myself. Their support, along with my dedication, opened doors that led me to where I am today.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working in various exciting settings, including fashion shows, TV productions, runways, and fashion brands.
My vision is always to push beyond boundaries and bring my dreams to life. Life is too short not to pursue what you love, and for me, that love is in the beauty industry, particularly in bridal hair and makeup. I am passionate about being part of a bride’s special day, supporting her every step of the way to make her vision a reality.
In addition to bridal hair and makeup, I specialize in hair and makeup for special events, runway, TV production, and other areas within the industry. Today, I am proud to have my own studio in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where I am steadily fulfilling the dream my ten-year-old self once had.
To anyone with a dream: don’t give up. No matter how challenging the journey may seem, you are the only one who can bring that vision to life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to where I am today has certainly not been smooth. There were many setbacks along the way, and I had to put in a lot of hard work and dedication to invest in the equipment and materials needed to start my career as a hair and makeup artist. There were moments when doors were slammed in my face, and I faced rejection from people who didn’t believe in me. But through it all, I had to remind myself to keep believing in my worth.
In an industry as competitive as this one, it’s easy to doubt yourself, but I stayed true to who I am and trusted in the value of my work. I learned that my unique talents and passion were enough to carve my place in this field, and that belief has been essential to my growth and success. I continue to be motivated by the fact that I am doing what I love and making a difference in the lives of my clients.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am known for my timeless, effortless, and natural glam style, and I’ve had the privilege of working across various areas of the beauty industry, including fashion shows, TV production, and collaborating with a diverse range of brands, as well as having my work featured in different magazines such as Vogue and Elle magazine.
While I enjoy working in many different areas, the one that truly holds a special place in my heart is working with brides. Being part of a bride’s special day is priceless, and there’s nothing more fulfilling than helping them achieve the look they’ve always dreamed of.
What I am most proud of is embracing every opportunity that has come my way. Despite the challenges, I’ve always said yes and committed myself fully to each experience. Through hard work, dedication, and perseverance, I’ve achieved my goals, and each step has led me to where I am today.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about my city is that, while it may be small, it offers everything we need for a fulfilling lifestyle. It provides a stable environment for my family, knowing that my children will have access to an excellent school system and grow up in a family-oriented community. Despite its size, the city is steadily growing, which presents great opportunities for business, particularly in my industry. This growth allows me to stay connected with those around me and continue to thrive in my career.
