Meet Jarred Mait of Pulse & Remedy in Miami Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jarred Mait.

In 2007, founder, Jarred Mait MD, decided that he wanted to dedicate his life to serving others as a doctor. In 2015, he blended his 9 years of medical training, yoga, nutrition, functional medicine and life experience to create a new blend of medicine…Pulse & Remedy.

The current approach to healthcare is rather impersonal. The focus remains on disease treatment, time spent with a physician is limited and the strategy is drug-focused. Pulse & Remedy changed this…

In 2004, Jarred graduated from business school and obtained his CPA. He started working for Deloitte, a global consulting firm. 3 years later, he decided that his energy was best spent in serving others in a medical capacity.

After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, he began a residency training in Anesthesiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami. He continued to study nutrition, yoga, functional medicine and natural treatments for common illnesses.

In 2015, he broke away from the traditional path of medicine and created Pulse & Remedy.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There was hardly a road for this path, instead, it was more of a path through a forest. Suffice it to say, we tripped on a few branches as we continued to grow.

Please tell us about Pulse & Remedy.
Pulse & Remedy specializes in providing a comprehensive treatment strategy to patients with health concerns. By incorporating functional medicine, general medicine and holistic medicine, Pulse & Remedy creates whole-body plans for health.

We go much deeper, to better understand the root-cause of illness.

We make house-calls, to make it very personal.

We provide in-home laboratory studies, mobile imaging, prescription delivery, mobile EKGs and everything else that makes medicine that much more convenient and personal.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories?
It was 5pm. I was at my parent’s home in Ft. Lauderdale. We were having the entire family over for a weekend BBQ, celebrating my acceptance to medical school. Everyone was inside the house, waiting for the food to be ready. I was at the grill with my father.

He put his arm around me, looked in my eyes and said, “Jarred, I can’t tell you how proud I am, as your father, that you are going to be a doctor.”

He was killed in a car accident 5 days later.
