Inspiring Conversations with Vine Oghenekparobo Aduara of Sense N’ Style Magazine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vine Oghenekparobo Aduara

Hi Vine , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am Vine Aduara, the founder and Editor-in-chief for Sense N’ Style Magazine. I am Nigerian, but I am based in the United States.

My journey to becoming an entrepreneur is definitely one for the books. I officially launched my company, Sense N’ Style Magazine in 2020, a year after I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Law. Prior to that, I modeled during my university years, so this gave me an edge in the fashion industry. By the time I ventured into the fashion magazine market, I had already built a network of designers, models, photographers, and businesses.

Fast forward to 2024, our magazine has become a major fashion publication, collaborating with various entrepreneurs, hotels, fashion brands, models, and designers. We’ve worked with Netflix celebrities like Kelly Chase from Love is Blind, Michelle Allen from Kissing Booth, and Mawuli Gavor, as well as top personalities like Quiana Watson, Will Gittens, Khadija Omarr, Dayana Molina, and many more. Additionally, we’ve advertised for prominent hotels and restaurants, including Radisson Blu, citizenM, Almarosa Brickell, and others.

The journey to building my business was grounded in hard work, patience, consistency, and extensive networking. As a believer, I can say that having faith in whatever you choose to pursue is essential to success, and that principle was a cornerstone in building Sense N’ Style Magazine.

Additional Biography: Vine Oghenekparobo Aduara, holding a degree in Criminal Law, is not only a legal professional but also an accomplished model with a rich work experience with various brands, companies, agencies, and designers. As the founder of VI-Models, an academy dedicated to modeling development, and the visionary behind Sense N’ Style Magazine, Vine is a dynamic entrepreneur with diverse talents.

Driven by a vision to mentor and guide aspiring entrepreneurs, Vine Aduara aspires to offer valuable insights and support to those embarking on their professional journeys across various career paths through Sense N’ Style Magazine.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Building Sense N’ Style Magazine has been far from a smooth journey. It’s been a mix of highs and lows. There have been moments when I’ve questioned why I started, and there have been incredible times when I can hardly believe how much I’ve accomplished.

One of the biggest struggles I’ve faced has been finding balance in every area of the business. As an entrepreneur, I am responsible for managing everything. Don’t get me wrong, I have an amazing team, but I’ve also made it a point to learn every aspect of my business. This includes understanding the publication process with the various bookstores we collaborate with, managing the financials, overseeing social media, conducting interviews with the clients we work with, organizing photoshoots, working with the content team, and working closely with writers.

The workload, especially in the early stages, has been intense. Wearing so many hats comes with a lot of pressure, but it has also been crucial to the growth and success of my business.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Sense N’ Style Magazine?
