Today we’d like to introduce you to Orlando Rosario
Orlando, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started DJing when I was 14. My sister had a friend in middle school who was a DJ, and even though he had no idea, he was my inspiration. Back then, buying DJ gear wasn’t cheap or easy, so I would enter these weekly giveaways for a site that sold DJ equipment. Then, one week, I actually got lucky and won a DJ-In-a-Box kit that had everything I needed to learn how to DJ.
From there, I started DJing small house parties. Eventually, I started DJing weddings, and that’s where it all came together for me—making memories for couples on the biggest day of their lives. After years of working for other companies, in 2022, I decided to go all in and launched Continuum DJs. It’s been a journey so far, but I love what we’re building and I’m excited for what the future holds.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Even though I’ve been a DJ for as long as I have, nobody really knew Continuum DJs as a company or a brand. So it’s been a labor of love to grow that brand recognition and to build a network of people around me that believe in what I’m doing and support me. But nothing in life worth pursuing is easy, which is why I’ve always embraced the adversity. It makes the success all the more satisfying.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Continuum DJs is a DJ and entertainment company focused on delivering high-energy, customized experiences for weddings and corporate events. I started this company with a mission to bring a fresh, polished approach to each celebration, making sure every event feels authentic to the people we’re celebrating. We’re based in Miami but serve all of South Florida and even destination events.
For us, it’s not just about playing music—it’s about understanding our clients’ story and bringing their vibe to life in a way that feels genuine. We take pride in offering a white-glove service that prioritizes the people we serve. With a modern, Miami-inspired style, our focus is on crafting legendary events that are bold, unforgettable, and true to who our clients are.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
In the events industry, networking is everything. You have to be willing to step outside of your comfort zone and meet with people. A lot of the events we service come to us from referrals. So my advice for networking is to find networking groups in your industry (or even something like a chamber of commerce), dress the part, and start introducing yourself and your company/brand. And don’t focus on business, focus on relationships—it’s about showing people who you are and the value you bring. When people can put a face to your brand and see your passion firsthand, that’s when the real connections happen. Those personal interactions are what turn introductions into referrals and contacts into long-term partnerships.
