Glenda Fernandez and Jandy Rodriguez ventured into the world of aesthetics less than a year ago, driven by their deep passion for transforming lives through the art and science of beauty. Coming from a background as Critical Care Practitioners in Jackson Health System, they were amazed by the profound changes aesthetic treatments could bring to a patient’s confidence and overall well-being.
Determined to be more than just another med spa, they set a bold goal: to become the best in the industry. With relentless dedication, Glenda and Jandy dove into learning, taking numerous advanced courses and even traveling abroad to expand their expertise. Every step they take is fueled by their vision of elevating aesthetics beyond physical appearance, creating a place where people can rediscover themselves and feel empowered.
Though their med spa is still young, their passion, commitment to excellence, and drive to keep learning and growing set them apart. They are on a mission to bring cutting-edge treatments to their clients, making a lasting impact in the world of aesthetics and achieving the dream they’ve worked so hard for.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Balancing two jobs while launching a clinic has been one of the biggest challenges of our lives. Juggling our responsibilities at home, practicing in inpatient hospital settings, and managing a growing clinic requires constant energy and dedication. The pressure of wearing multiple hats—healthcare providers, business owners, and family members—means that every day is a test of our limits.
Starting a clinic from the ground up while maintaining our hospital duties has pushed us to overcome personal and professional obstacles daily. Yet, through it all, our priority remains clear: to provide the best, safest care for our clients. It hasn’t been easy, but our passion for transforming lives and helping people feel their best keeps us going, despite the sacrifices and struggles we face. Every challenge fuels our commitment to building something extraordinary.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5 to 10 years, we envision Ambar Health & Wellness expanding into multiple offices, where we will not only provide exceptional care but also train the next generation of providers to help them achieve their goals. Our passion for excellence drives us to grow, and we see Ambar becoming a well-known, trusted brand in the aesthetics industry—possibly even recognized as a trademark. Our mission is to continue evolving, offering the best services, and empowering other professionals to succeed while maintaining the same high standards of care and the peaceful, welcoming environment we’ve built.
