Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenifer Galue
Hi Jenifer, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m Jenifer Galue, but most people call me Jen. I was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and moved to the United States at a young age in 2001, during the start of Chavez’ Bolivarian revolution. Adjusting to a new country isn’t always easy, but it definitely pushed me to get creative and find new ways to express myself.
I’ve been fascinated by visual storytelling ever since I took a photography elective in high school. That fascination eventually turned into a full-blown passion, so I dove into filmmaking, video creation, and editing. Over the years, I’ve really sharpened my skills and focused on crafting stories through visuals. With over a decade of experience, I’ve had the chance to work with some amazing clients, from Latin music artists like Juanes, Ozuna, J Balvin, Camilo, Wisin y Yandel, to big commercial brands like American Airlines, Virgin Voyages, Marriott Hotels, Hohem Gimbals and TikTok.
TikTok has been a game-changer for me, letting me reach and inspire thousands of people. It’s become a space where I can share my creativity, and connect with others. I really want my work to be a resource for aspiring creators, especially for those who might not have access to formal training in video production. My hope is that through my journey and the content I create, I can inspire others, whether they’re dreamers, travelers, or fellow video editors, to believe in their own creative potential.
This whole journey has been pretty surreal, and I’ve been lucky enough to work on some amazing projects with super creative people who constantly push the limits of what we can do together. Every project, whether it’s for entertainment or commercial work, has taught me something new and helped me grow as both a creator and a collaborator. At the end of the day, my goal is still the same: to use storytelling to connect with people, inspire creativity, and create content that really makes an impact.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped who I am today. Moving to a new country at a young age came with its own set of struggles, from adapting to a new culture to finding my voice as a creator. There were times when imposter syndrome kicked in hard, like a little voice saying, “Are you sure you know what you’re doing?” and me responding, “Well, I guess we’re about to find out!” But these challenges pushed me to be resourceful, resilient, and determined to turn my passion for video production into a career. Each obstacle has been a lesson, making the successes that much more meaningful.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a video director and editor, but I’m also known for my work as a filmmaker, bringing stories to life from start to finish. Honestly, what I’m most proud of is getting to do what I love every day—being creative for a living. It’s such a great feeling to wake up and use my skills to inspire others. What makes me a little different is how I mix technical expertise with a strong sense of storytelling, always trying to make sure each project isn’t just visually cool, but also hits people on an emotional level. I’m always on the lookout for new ways to push creative boundaries, and I love working with people to turn ideas into content that really impacts people.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Miami’s got a vibe like no other—the energy, the culture, the music, the food, it’s always buzzing. Now, the traffic? Yeah, that’s a different story… not exactly the move. But hey, it just means I get more time to listen to my favorite artists on repeat.
