Today we’d like to introduce you to Victor Luis Spectacles
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Welcome VÍCTOR LUIS SPECTACLES✨
My name is Victor Luis. I am a 24 years old Cuban American local professional singer in #Miami. My grandfather, Jose Victor (La Voz Romantica de Miami), We facilitate Excellent Quality Live Entertainment for over a decade now, in South Florida. Expressing my love for singing encourages me to make light our souls, embrace more, and make the most of leisure time. We interpret the beautiful songs of yesterday from our English & Hispanic American cultures with great reverence, passion, and dedication at Adult Day Cares, Restaurants, Wedding Anniversaries, Birthdays, Holiday Celebrations, Special Events, or any Occasions!
~ Kindness ~
Some get lucky, some work hard, others are idle, and get just as far.
Kindness bears fruits like no other you’ve seen, for those whom do good, never goes unseen.
From within we discover no matter how far, that kindness lives on, It can grow, it can shrink.
Let it guide you to coexist.
– Victor Luis
I began accompanying my grandfather as a kid to his events singing for our seniors and the seniors asked him “why doesn’t the boy sing?” Pondering that question I got up and sang, since then It’s been history.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
All beginnings are challenging, the leap to dedicate yourself to music is a daring thought for many artists who still have a traditional 9-5 and do singing. Stepping into the unknown not knowing I would have so much support in the long run was a spectacular feeling.
Struggles along the way were, expanding the repertoire so I could put on a whole show, working on my confidence was also a challenge throughout the years, with time it is improved. Also, not necessarily having some of my close relatives or family support before I became who I am today was tough. Today I surprised them and they celebrate me, but I had to believe in myself before those around me did.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in performing the big hits for a large part of our elderly community in the south Florida region. I am known for singing in English, Spanish, Italian, and French. Boleros, cumbias, merengue, rancheras, cha cha cha, ballads, blues, country, R&B. All of this with a big focus on the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.
I am most proud of the rewarding feeling after I finish a Spectacle (show) when the seniors gather around me to show appreciation. Tell me things like, “that is the song I danced with my wife when we got married, she has been gone, you reminded me of her” and also, those who get up and dance telling me “I have not danced in so many years, thank you”
What sets me apart from others is my confidence, the talent, my unwavering desire to sing of love and return to those places where it has lived before. Reconnecting people with beautiful music is one of the most wonderful skills I posses.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Without a doubt, the credit and dedication almost entirely belong to my mentor, my teacher, and my number one supporter that would be Jose Victor Castillo, my Grandpa. A singer, a Poet with published books, a University Professor of Literature and Idioma, a Miami-Dade county retired teacher, and an artist.
He is responsible for molding this talent into a majestic and exemplary vocalist, showman, interpreter of music, master of ceremonies, and dancer.
From a young age, I was exposed to music that most individuals my age (26) would not have heard. Hearing him sing it in the voice of the original artist, I was able to make it my own, whilst preserving the essence that the original singer intended, as any true musician must. He helped in correcting me in terms of pitch, vibrato, air flow, belting, chest voice, nasal voice, head voice, falsetto, modulation, etc… many technical musician jargon that I would not have learned if he had not instructed. Thank you, Grandpa.
