Rising Stars: Meet Emily Blanco of Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Blanco

Hi Emily, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Where shall I begin? I am a virtual assistant who is passionate about knocking items off of to-do lists. If you were to ask my friends, family, and colleagues, they would consider me to be reliable and personable; someone who always wants to lend a helping hand while making it an enjoyable process. I am a born and raised Jersey girl, but have made Miami home for almost two decades now.
From a young age, I have been passionate about the arts, always singing and dancing whether it was forcing my family to watch me perform in my living room (I’m guilty of still doing this occasionally) or on stages all around South Florida. I was lucky enough to even turn performing into a career with the Miami Marlins for eight seasons after graduating with a Bachelors in Communication Arts at Florida International University. I started as a dancer on their entertainment team and enjoyed being in front of the camera, but then an interest grew in the detailed work that goes on behind the scenes. After being a lead captain for a few years and ultimately taking on a good chunk of responsibility, I realized I still wanted to do more. I have worked with small businesses optimizing their operations, keeping things in order, and also dipped my toes in digital marketing.
Through different positions within the Miami Marlins and other employment opportunities, I found myself enjoying to organize, juggle tasks, make projects look presentable for their clients etc.
In 2021, I really fell into my own and gained the sense of leadership within myself, where finally EMVP Management LLC was born!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Everyone goes through struggles and I can’t say that I have not had struggles of my own. I still currently go through struggles and it took me quite some time to “figure it out”. I’m still trying to figure it out, but I’m finally able to at least enjoy the path I’m on! I have become more open and welcoming to the endless possibilities that are out there without letting the struggles of my mental health get in the way. I’ve had to understand that it is okay to mess up or not know the answers right away. I am also so unbelievably blessed and grateful to have such unwavering support from my family and close friends. I’m notorious for over-thinking and having everything all planned out, but lately I have been just going along for the ride of life. There’s so much growth left and by working with my clients and meeting new people and opportunities along the way, I am confident I will reach my potential despite any challenges that come my way.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
EMVP Management provides an array of services to diverse industries from startups to established corporations and anything in between. I work as a virtual assistant helping bring visions to reality no matter how big or small they are. Projects have ranged from task management processes, itinerary coordination, basic website building, order tracking, event planning assistance, email or document organization, and more. I do a little bit of everything. Any way I can optimize an organization’s operations makes me a happy camper and therefore I put that energy into my work.
You can also book my services for any personal events like weddings, birthdays and special occasions. I design invites, itineraries, business cards, playbooks, etc. I also began diving into the UGC and affiliate marketing world and am throughly enjoying creating that kind of content that can hopefully be offered soon through my business.
I am known to be diligent, detailed, personable and have been very proud of the work I have provided thus far to clients that have trusted EMVP. What sets me apart is that I am always willing to grow and learn more. I’m excited and looking forward to meeting more people in the SoFlo community. Here to be your (E)MVP!

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Trust the process! What is meant to be will be as long as you stay positive and grounded. Given that I am a virtual assistant, I pay attention to detail and need to make sure everything is “perfect”. I have learned that I am my own worst critic and it is okay to not be “perfect”. Make time to enjoy the beauty of life because you may miss a lot of what is going on around you if you’re too focused on work, work, work. Keep up with hobbies and things you truly enjoy. Personally, I enjoy puzzles, making new meals, and holistic wellness. Staying consistent with self-love will transfer through to your work where you will ultimately shine.
