Today we’d like to introduce you to Devon Workman
Hi Devon, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Clermont, Florida and ended up playing collegiate baseball at FAU in Boca Raton. Once in undergrad, I did not know what I was going to do once I graduated. I woke up one day and randomly decided that I wanted to go to law school. Once I got into law school, , I really enjoyed the law and competition involved in the legal field. While in law school, I clerked with a personal injury attorney in Atlanta and I knew that is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I became obsessed with helping people and the thought of owning my own law firm. Right after law school, I started my own law firm but realized shortly that I was not equipped to help clients the way I wanted to because I did not have the experience of being a practicing attorney. I then joined one of the biggest personal injury law firms in Florida and litigated hundreds of cases over nearly 4 years. Then in April of 2021, I had my first child, and realized I needed to have my own law firm. I worked on my own firm every night until I officially opened Workman Injury Law in January of 2022. Since then we have grown to a team of 8 earning and winning millions for our clients throughout Florida.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We have grown quickly but of course there has been struggles. Finding the right staff that fits our style and has the same goals has been the biggest struggle. But as we sit here today, we have a great staff that are all on the same mission in providing the best customer service and results for our clients.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Workman Injury Law, PPLC?
We are Personal Injury Law firm. We represent people injured in car accidents, slip and falls, negligent security, etc. We pride ourselves on fighting for every client in the same manner from low value cases to catastrophic 7 figure cases. We take on a lot of cases that other lawyers turn down or afraid to take on because we believe every client deserves justice. We handle all are own litigation. We litigated a vast majority of our cases to make sure we get our clients the maximum amount they deserve.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
I grew up Clermont, Florida where there is a ton of lakes. As a child we used to trespass into the best fishing spots and catch monster large mouth bass.
