Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Cruz

Hi Christopher, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Turning Dreams into Reality: The Journey of Chris Cruz

My name is Christopher Cruz, but most know me as Chris. At 25 years old, I’m a determined entrepreneur, steadily turning my dreams into reality. My journey hasn’t been easy, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
I was born in Tampa, but soon after, my mother left everything behind and relocated to Springfield, MA, just outside Boston, to provide a better life for me and my brother. Raised in poverty, I watched my mother work tirelessly to make ends meet, living paycheck to paycheck, often relying on government assistance. We lived in shelters, moved constantly, and faced countless hardships, but those early struggles became the fuel for my drive.
My entrepreneurial spirit sparked young. Even as a kid, I was always hustling, selling anything that would make a dollar. I started with sneaker repairs and selling candy in middle school, gradually working my way up to selling bikes, cars, and everything in between. My ability to save money—something I learned from watching my mom’s struggles—helped me and my brother bring food to the table, contributing to the family.
It wasn’t always the best environment—growing up, the streets were all we knew. But those challenges gave me resilience and shaped the vision I hold today.
At 18, my life took a turn when I became a father. This was a wake-up call, pushing me to think long-term and commit to providing a better future for my family. The hustle intensified, ventures grew, and we started climbing out of the financial hole. One of my proudest moments was when, in 2016, after 20 years of living in the projects, my family finally moved into a better home.
As I navigated my first year in college while juggling multiple jobs and raising a newborn, life didn’t slow down. I worked long hours at Big Y and Boston Market, all while balancing school, my side hustle, and fatherhood. It was exhausting, but becoming a young father gave me all the motivation I needed.
After graduating with a business management degree, I faced another life-changing moment during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was laid off from both jobs, but instead of dwelling on the loss, I saw an opportunity. I began traveling—a passion of mine—and during a trip to Orlando in 2019, I stumbled upon the idea that would change my life.
It all started when I rented a slingshot, a three-wheeled, open-air vehicle. Something clicked. I realized that this wasn’t just an exciting ride—it was a business opportunity. In that moment, my entrepreneurial instincts kicked in, and shortly after, I bought my first slingshot, combining my love for adventure and business. In just 30 days, I made a significant profit.
But Boston’s seasons couldn’t support a year-round business, so I looked toward Miami, a city that had captured my heart. On November 15, 2021, I made the boldest move of my life. Leaving everything behind, I relocated to Miami with two slingshots and a vision. It was the best decision I ever made.
Starting “Top Notch Slingshot Services LLC” was no small feat, but I took risks, learned quickly, and adapted. Today, my business has expanded beyond slingshots to include Airbnbs, car rentals, jet skis, yachts, and more. The network I’ve built over the past few years has become invaluable, and what started as a small business now generates six figures annually.
Beyond the concierge services, I found a passion for helping others achieve success. In 2022, I launched “Cruz Consulting LLC,” a consulting firm that grew rapidly, again reaching six figures within a year. I built this business using the connections and resources I developed online. With my phone and social media as my primary tools, I’ve been able to scale this business and teach others how to do the same.
But my story isn’t just about financial success. It’s about perseverance, sacrifice, and constant growth. The higher you climb, the bigger the challenges become, but these challenges shape you. I’ve faced obstacles, but I’m learning to navigate them with grace, all while prioritizing my mental and physical health, strengthening my relationship with God, and staying focused on my goals.
I’m still running my slingshot business, concierge services, and consulting firm, all while becoming the best version of myself each day. This is just the beginning of my journey. I may not be where I ultimately want to be, but I know I’m on the right path, and I’m deeply grateful for the challenges and triumphs that have brought me here.
Thank you for reading my story. I hope it inspires you to take bold risks, pursue your passions, and create the life you dream of—because, as I’ve learned, with faith, hard work, and determination, anything is possible.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In the early stages of life, my family and I faced a series of hurdles that tested our resilience, courage, and endurance. These challenges were defining moments that laid the foundation for who I am today. Here’s a glimpse into some of the toughest obstacles we overcame:

Growing up in a shelter, watching my mother raise us alone, far from any family or support.

Living off government assistance, relying on food stamps and weekly pantries to put food on the table.

Experiencing holidays with little to no presents as a child, making me value the true essence of giving.

Hearing the devastating news in 1st grade that my mom had been diagnosed with cancer and given only 35 days to live—then, five years later, watching her battle cancer once again.

Growing up too fast, becoming a father at 18, and welcoming my second child at 20.

Witnessing my brother’s repeated entanglement with the system, while trying to be the man of the house at a young age.

Surviving a severe dirt bike accident that left me unconscious for two days, a moment that reshaped my outlook on life.

Juggling my first year of college with raising a newborn son, working two jobs, and managing a side hustle.

Seeing my mom suffer a stroke and having to step up, yet again, to care for her while managing everything else.

Despite all the adversity, earning my Associate’s degree in Business Management, a personal triumph against the odds.

Getting laid off from work due to COVID-19, which sparked a new entrepreneurial journey.

Enduring the ups and downs of failed ventures and businesses, only to come back stronger.

Taking a leap of faith and leaving everything behind to move to Miami and start fresh, building my first real business.

Facing double the expenses and adjusting to a completely new city with no established network, a true test of my adaptability.

Navigating the trials and tribulations that come with any new venture, all while balancing my family back in Boston and my growing business in Miami.

Pushing through 20-hour workdays under the Miami sun, hustling non-stop to achieve my goals.

Taking on the role of caretaker for my mother, who continues to face health challenges.

Building multiple businesses from the ground up on my own, each one a reflection of my hard work, perseverance, and determination.

Committing to self-discipline, making the gym a routine, and building mental toughness to conquer fears, build courage, and stay motivated through it all.

The list of challenges could go on for days, but each one has played a critical role in shaping the man I am today. Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful that I chose the harder path because it taught me resilience, courage, and the value of persistence. Every step, no matter how tough, has brought me closer to becoming the best version of myself.
