Hi Bruno, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I love what I do and take pride in being exceptionally good aI am a prosthodontist who specializes in the field of cosmetic dentistry and complete full-mouth rehabilitation. With my extensive knowledge in dentistry and my insight into creating the optimum environment to deliver customized treatment plans, my team of professionals and I are able to satisfy the expectations of the highly demanding population of South Florida.
Becoming a dentist has been a lifetime dream and endeavor for me. I left Brazil to come to the United States to pursue my education in dentistry, following our family legacy, becoming the 4th generation of Sharp family dentists who have studied at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. However, once I graduated, I decided to continue my studies in the field of Prosthodontics, which is a step above General Dentistry, and a step above in the treatment of difficult dental cases. I was accepted into a three-year Prosthodontic and Master Science program at the University of Florida. This is where I acquired the special skills necessary to treat the most challenging cases in dentistry.

Traveling around Florida, I was particularly attracted to Miami, where the sun, the beaches, and the lifestyle reminded me of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I was born. This is where I wanted to settle down. I love Miami!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Despite the fact that corporations and equity investment companies are trying to take over the dental industry, I firmly believe that a private group practice with great professionals, a distinctive personal touch, and outstanding service will always remain unmatched and will always continue to be sought out by the high-end demanding clientele.
Our challenge is to create a perfect environment with an experienced team that consistently delivers exceptional treatment plans and patient satisfaction day in and day out.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am indeed most proud to be a 4th generation Sharp dental practitioner, now specializing in Prosthodontics, a level of dentistry that was not available back then…
Prosthodontists are often referenced as “the plastic surgeons of dentistry”. We specialize in the restauration and replacement of teeth that culminates in optimal dental function coupled with an exceptionally customized aesthetic appearance. We are the specialists in veneers, implants and oral rehabilitation cases.
In 1999, I opened my dental practice in Coconut Grove, a prestigious neighborhood in Miami, Florida. Along with my partner and mentor, Dr. Bernard Segall, an internationally renowned Maxillofacial Prosthodontist, we assembled a team of associates in all dental specialties to offer a comprehensive approach to modern dentistry, all under one roof.
In our state-of-the-art practice, the dentists now have access to in-house technology and an in-house laboratory and technicians. We work together to offer patients the ultimate experience in the shortest time and with the least inconvenience from assessment to the desired outcome.
In the future, I envision my practice growing and improving in every aspect of our services.
This year, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary in Miami. As I look back on a lifetime of work, there is so much to celebrate. Collectively, we have the power to change the life of patients by delivering only the best and happiest of smiles.
