Today we’d like to introduce you to Vance Stay Ii
Hi Vance, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I used to be a school teacher, helping students learn and grow, but deep down, I always had a passion for fitness. During my college years, I was an athlete, and that experience shaped my understanding of discipline, hard work, and the importance of staying active. After a few years in teaching, I realized that while I loved helping others, I wanted to focus more on health and fitness.
With my athletic background and passion for fitness, I decided to make a change and become a personal trainer. I knew I could use my skills and experience to help people achieve their fitness goals, just like I had done as an athlete. Transitioning from the classroom to the gym, I now work one-on-one with clients, helping them become stronger, healthier, and more confident in their abilities. It’s been incredibly rewarding to combine my love for teaching with my passion for fitness in a way that positively impacts others’ lives.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it was not always a smooth ride at all. At first it was awful. Applying to a lot of training jobs that were never what they seemed to be. Working with training companies that gave me empty promises, lied to me, or told me I wasn’t good enough, it was rough. But one day things got rolling and I’ve been building off that momentum ever since.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I offer personalized training services tailored to elevate your fitness/athletic journey. We are dedicated to helping you achieve your health and wellness goals through customized workout plans and expert guidance. I do more than just gym workouts as well. I have clients of every background with any kind of development goal you can think of. I service all ages as well. I like to pride myself on being one for the community, not just trying to drain every dollar out of my clients
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I would give credit to my parents Vance & Letha Stay. They are entrepreneurs themselves so I always had that spirit in me. Also, my friends who pushed me to get into the gym and help me realize I have a skill for training. All the athletes I’ve trained that have let me practice my methods on them. My first handful of clients. The first person to ever give me a coaching job, Monte Chapman.
