Life & Work with Dana Brillante of West Palm Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dana Brillante

Hi Dana, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been a blogger for so long! How long you may ask? Let’s say social media wasn’t even a thing back then. I’ve always loved to write and was the friend that everyone would call to ask for a recommendations for where to eat, what to cook, what to wear, what to do with their kids, etc. So, I basically took two things I love to do and morphed them into my first blog, which was named Pellerini.

Fast forward over 15 years later and here I am, the mind behind The Modern Mom Lounge. I love to explore different areas of South Florida, try new restaurants, check out new products and relay my thoughts on them.

The website and social media accounts have been the perfect platforms for me to share my trials and tribulations related to motherhood, being a working mom, and now a divorced working mom of teens.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been that bumpy of a road, but I have learned a lot along the way. As with any website, you want to find followers. Facebook was my first platform that really skyrocketed my readership. Twitter (now X) and Instagram followed shortly after.

I work in the marketing world, so everything I learn I test on my website and social media platforms. If it works, I duplicate it at my job.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am the Director of Marketing for a locum tenens staffing company, MPLT Healthcare, here in Boca Raton, Florida. I absolutely love what I do, which is a little bit of everything marketing related! From social media to PR, to internal culture events it’s always a fun day at work!

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I think the quality that is most important to my success has been the ability to pivot and openness to learn new things.
