Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica Morales
Hi Erica, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
It all started with one of my favorite music artists of all time, which was Chris brown I saw him on a movie called “Stomp the Yard”. I Continued to do my research on his music and became intrigued with R&B music, I started writing music at 16 years old but didn’t start recording until I was 18. That’s when I knew I was deep into music. Got into dancing & it went up from there. I started recording & dropping music, did my first performance in my backyard on my 24th birthday with about 30 people. Then I started doing bookings through some clubs in the area of Miami. I am currently about to drop a new album on 9/7/2024 and i’m super excited about it. Music is my escape from reality.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It had its bumps for sure but I never gave up, I continued to make music while I went through my past experiences & life lessons. Anything I went through I dived deep & put it all into my music.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a barber currently, I cut hair for a living. I’m known for my dancing & music mostly. Anywhere I go & I hear music I just feel the urge to dance. What i’m proud of is getting my barbers license, i’m not good at testing so it did take a few tries before I actually got it! haha. What set’s me apart is I’m not the type of person to get nervous before a performance I just get a rush before I hit the stage I just feel like I was meant for it.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I’m looking to be in stadiums and arenas with sold out shows. That’s my dream.
