Hi Gigi, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hello my name is Gusphalney (Gus-Fall-Knee) Chery better known as Gigi Chery on all social media platforms. I am a 25 year old brand owner and content creator born and raised in Miami, FL with a Haitian background.

I started taking my content seriously back in 2022. I’ve always been the quiet girl growing up but had a big personality which made it hard for me to express myself to others. I love being in front of a camera. I would always create fake vlogs and capture every moment.

Creating content has always been a way to express myself and pour into others by expressing lifestyle and self care content. I like to see myself as the aesthetic and vibe so I don’t lose myself into trying to fit in. I was doing it for fun but eventually it led me to collaborating with brands I use everyday like Camille Rose and Salt XO. Taking Content seriously has truly transformed my everyday for the better.

When it’s comes to career, I’ve always struggled with “what I want to be when I grow up” I always wanted to do something that will make me happy and grow with me since I’m multi-passionate, creative, and continuously wanting more in life. Which lead me to creating Cherella Collection (Sher-Rella) I took the “Cher” from my last name and added Ella because Cinderella was my favorite movie as a little girl. In the brand I pour out all the values I’ve learned as a young women to take the space you deserve and conquer it all. The brand focuses on body positivity, self love & self confidence.

I’ve learned the value in pampering yourself, pour into yourself mentally and cherishing flaws and all. Through my content and brand, I want to continue building the awareness and importance. I want people to look at me and know that with the faith and hard work, all things are possible.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road, but if it’s easy; you aren’t doing it right. Being the first born generation, so it’s been a lot that I have had to figure out on my own but networking and researching and failing. When it comes to my business production, there’s been many times when I’ve had to cancel a launch or push it back due to quality and know what I want to put out there with my name attached to it. It’s always going to be a learning progress and I’m grateful for the challenges since it’s molding me into the future CEO I am.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Cherella Collection is a brand that revolves around body positivity and self love. Having my own self-care routine is what helped me discover myself, and develop self love & acceptance.

We believe that every woman should feel comfortable and beautiful in her own skin, and we strive to create a community that celebrates body positivity and self-acceptance with our size range of XS – 3X

Ultimately, our goal is to help women feel good about themselves, both inside and out. We have a range of high quality & timeless pieces perfect for everyday. Our current best selling collection is our “Ribbed Sets” which hug and form perfectly into your natural form. We believe that when women feel confident and empowered, they can achieve anything they set their minds to.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t believe in luck. Whats meant for you will happen, and if it doesn’t it’s simply Gods protection and redirection. I’ve been blessed by believing in what God has planned for plus everything I so desire. I believe that if you put your mind to it, and actually work towards what is meant for you… you will get there. It’s really up to you to get where you would like to be. Speaking positive affirmations journaling and creating my future has been my “luck”.
