Meet Assol Marat of Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Assol Marat

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Six years ago, I arrived in the United States from Kazakhstan, alone, with no friends, no support, no money, no documents, and without speaking a word of English. I started my journey from scratch, relying solely on myself, and today, I am incredibly proud of what I’ve achieved—something few could manage. I didn’t give up, I didn’t return home, but instead, I kept believing in a better future and worked tirelessly to make it happen. Today, I have friends all across America, I’ve learned the language, successfully manage social media channels with hundreds of thousands of followers, and I’m advancing my business in the trucking industry.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The most challenging period of my move was probably the first two years. I had to work physically demanding jobs because, due to the language barrier, I wasn’t able to pursue higher-paying opportunities.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Another significant challenge, not just for me but for the entire world, was the pandemic. I lost my job and was deeply concerned about my financial situation. This led me to make the decision to obtain a Class A commercial driver’s license and become a professional truck driver. Initially, the idea terrified me, and I doubted my abilities, especially since I’m quite petite. Many people discouraged me, saying that no one would trust me with such a massive truck or hire me. But I persevered, and I succeeded. This job has opened many doors for me—I’ve traveled across the United States, earned a living, and embarked on a new chapter in my life through blogging.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
As I mentioned, I came from Kazakhstan, which is a completely different country compared to the United States. However, I love my homeland, and my life there was filled with fond memories. I traveled a lot, spent time with my family, did well in school, and believed in my dreams.
