Conversations with Brianna Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Brown.

Brianna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
So currently I am the President and Head Designer at Fine Line. We are a family run business and we have been decorating Miami since 1986. My parents were the originators, i came aboard in 2004, and my brother came over right after the death of my father in 2009. As a family we have a long history of creativity and design. We have worked projects all over the world but have a love for Miami and the projects that we develop here. We have a 3200 sqft showroom in coral gables and a 800sqft studio in Key Biscayne that we just opened last November. This company has been a journey for all of us. It started very small and we have slowly grown over the years while keeping the boutique feel that we love. Our motto is “There is a fine line between genius and insanity” and we love to incorporate out of the box thinking to our clients homes and businesses. Our projects never look alike and we design for the client and their characteristics.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Its never a smooth road lol. its a rollercoaster =. The ups and downs make your head spin and your stomach turn. Our biggest hurdles have been the 20008 recession and Covid of course…but who doesn’t say that. I think for us it was harder in dealing with my fathers death as he was a staple in our business and when its family run its hard to separate business and personal feelings.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
What i love about my company the most is that we are all about originality and creativity. We travel all over the world to hand select one of a kind pieces for the showroom and our clients. Our focus is to give clients ideas and pieces that they will not see anywhere else. I think i am most proud of our determination to be different and that we also teach our interns and employees to do the same.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Loving life, and having the attitude that there is never a problem if there is a solution.
