Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Anise
Hi Taylor, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hello everyone! My name is Taylor Anise, and I am an influencer/content creator specializing in natural hair and makeup videos. I began creating content about 10 years ago when I was still in college at the University of Memphis. I started on YouTube then shifted to both Instagram and YouTube, with more of a focus on makeup. When I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing Management (magna cum laude), being an influencer had become something I knew I wanted to pursue full-time. I am super passionate about showing makeup and hair videos on my platforms, with these days having more of a focus on my natural hair routine. Through quick tutorials that teach easy ways to up-level everyday beauty/hair routines, I believe that I have impacted those that support me to live more confidently. Whether that means wearing their naturally curly hair or trying new makeup looks, I want to be the space that helps those see themselves in a positive, beautiful way. Moving to the Miami area in 2022 has completely transformed my content and I love being able to also share the events and places I go to around the city. Being able to connect with my audience, and provide inspiration on their beauty routines and things to do in Miami has been so much fun!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would be lying if I said it’s always as easy as it may look on the screen, but that’s life. Throughout all of the ups and downs over the years, no matter how big or small, I have learned so many things about myself. I truly appreciate having a community that has supported me through the stresses of college, weight gain and weight loss, changes in the type of content I share, and every win along the way. Being able to share and connect with my audience will continue to be as important to me as it was when I first started this journey, and that will always outweigh the challenges I’ve faced along the way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
The part of my job that I’m most proud of is being a positive space that supports those on their own natural hair journey. The makeup/beauty industry is something I’ve always loved, and will continue to love, but being able to help people see their natural hair as beautiful will always take the cake!
