

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Rogalski.
Tyler, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My brother and I founded this company seven years ago in Orlando. We started by hanging Christmas lights for our parents, then for our parent’s friends. Eventually, word got out about us and we were getting calls from everybody in our neighborhood. That spread into neighborhoods nearby and then we knew that, we had something special.
We opened our second location in South Florida while both of us were attending school at Florida Atlantic University and we got the same reaction from everyone down here as well. Today, we have just as much, if not more customers in South Florida than we do in Orlando so, we consider South Florida to be our primary business location.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Luckily, it has been pretty smooth but of course, there have been speed bumps along the way. Due to this being the first business we have ever owned and operated, we came into it not knowing much other than the service we provide. After years of making mistakes and learning from them, we believe that we have a very good functioning business and we are excited to continue to expand it every year.
Please tell us about TJR Lights.
TJR Lights is all about our customers (I use customers hesitantly because I like to refer to them more as friends). We make sure everyone that we work with is always happy with our service and even happier with how we treat them.
We provide Christmas light installation, so it is a seasonal business, however we keep up to date with all of our ‘customers’ year round. Like I said, we treat them as friends and friends don’t come and go every time they want something from you. I believe that this is the biggest reason that our business has flourished over the years and it’s why I can surely say that we are not going anywhere.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Aside from our customer service, I would say that our quality of service is just as important. We know that if we work to perfection, there is no reason for our ‘customers’ to look anywhere else. We believe that the quality our ones work reflects who they are as a person so, that is why we strive for absolute perfection. This aspect of our business coincides with our other key to success: customer service.
