Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Lutz
Hi Hannah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Fashion has played a huge role in my life since I was a little girl. I loved shopping, learning how to sew, styling outfits, and even taking pictures with my friends for something fun to do growing up in a small town. This passion that I had for fashion remained even when I reached my college years. In January of 2020, I was in my sophomore year at WVU, and this was when started to think about creating fashion content. It had never crossed my mind to start posting like an influencer and working with brands until I was approached about being a Boohoo Student Ambassador. I thought this was the coolest opportunity in the world. A huge brand letting me shop their site with a budget and all I had to do was post on my Instagram?? Like heck yeah! Once the pandemic hit, I began pursuing fashion content creation since I had so much free time that school was now online. Since 2020, I have had so many amazing opportunities to work with brands of all sizes.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Pursuing content creation has not been the easiest. I still find myself struggling to find a balance with it every day as it is something I pursue part-time. With ever-changing algorithms or new platforms to learn, graduating college and moving, having a career, and just life in general getting in the way, I have not always had as much time to pursue it full-time as I dream.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in Fashion and Lifestyle Content Creation mainly for Instagram. I adore creating fashion content as it feels like playing dress-up. I have been slowly trying to get into TikTok, as I prefer photography over videography, it has been challenging for me to create videos.
I am most proud of the last year, I have made the extra effort to reach out to brands, build brand relationships and continuously create content that I feel confident about.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
It is me, my tripod, and the app Lensbuddy against the world. I prefer taking all my content because I am so picky about lighting, angles, etc. I am not a huge editor but I do love using the apps, Tezza and Capcut, to perfect my content.
