Hidden Gems: Meet Eva Franco of Interiors by Eva Franco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eva Franco

Hi Eva, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Born and raised in Venezuela, I always had a fascination for design and innovative structures. It became very clear to me that I wanted to pursue a career towards architecture. Halfway throughout my studies, my family and I left Venezuela and moved to the United States to pursue a better quality of life. It’s here where I finished my first degree in Architecture and another in Supervision and Management.

When it came to my work life, my first job was at an architectural glass company as a drafter. At the time, anything “architectural” ringed a bell for me so I was just excited to be part of the team. After this job, I dove into deeper water in an engineering and architecture firm, again as a drafter, where I was producing the mechanical, electrical and plumbing plans for residential and commercial projects. That role started to feel very rigid and technical, and I realized it wasn’t where I was supposed to be. When I got an additional part-time job as an interior designer assistant, I had my “aha!” moment, where I knew I wanted to pursue a career in interior design.

I joined a couple small interior design firms where I was not only able to shape and polish my skills but to also get to know some of the most amazing people that provided me with invaluable insights into the world of design. These experiences allowed me to express my creativity and solidify my passion for creating cohesive and functional spaces, which is exactly what set the foundation for launching my own interior design journey.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would say that my time in the world of interior design has been both rewarding and challenging. The ups and downs have led me to who and where I am today. One of the biggest struggles I faced this year was overcoming the fear of other people’s opinions. This is something that had been holding me back for a long time from fully embracing social media to showcase my work and educate others in regards to design. At one point, I was doubting my own knowledge even though I’ve dedicated my career to this field. I made peace with the fact that nobody is born knowing everything and that we all have to start somewhere. Some fears will always be there, but I’ve learned how to walk with it and take action. Each obstacle has shaped my path and taught me lessons that I will always treasure and keep in mind for the years to come.

As you know, we’re big fans of Interiors by Eva Franco. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Interiors by Eva Franco is a full-service interior design firm based in South Florida. We specialize in creating elevated, cohesive spaces that combine functionality and timeless design. Being one of the youngest designers in the area allows me to bring a unique, fresh perspective into every project. Our goal is to make your home not only beautiful but also effective and tailored to your lifestyle.

When we look at other interior design businesses on social media, we typically see just that—a company, a logo, maybe some completed jobs. Something that sets me apart is that I connect with the community by being me. As a personal brand, I share a balanced mix of design tips, my work, and personal insights—who I am, some of my everyday life, and topics that resonate with me. I believe this approach is rare in a city like Miami and helps me build genuine connections with my audience.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I know I’ve learned a lot of lessons throughout my own journey. A lesson that resonates with me to this day is to never give up. There will always be obstacles, setbacks, or moments of doubt, but it’s in the most challenging times that our determination is truly tested. The drive to achieve our dreams must be unstoppable. I’ve come to understand that stepping out of my comfort zone is essential for my professional growth. The fear I once felt never completely disappears, but I’ve learned how to cope with it. I’ve learned to look at it as a reminder that these nerves are the boundaries I’m breaking through. I know that’s the only way I will grow to the level I know I can reach. Persistence, passion, and the courage to embrace challenges are the keys to turning aspirations into reality!
