Today, we’d like to introduce you to Indhira Cermeno.
Hi Indhira, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am Lawyer in Venezuela, graduated from UCV with two post grade Comercial Law and Tax law, as consequence of bad situation in my country I decided to left my country with my family on June 28, 2018, once in the United States, I started working in many jobs.
My first year was so difficult, although I always knew I would get ahead. I studied in many institutes to learn about immigration matters. I also finished the paralegal studies program at the Universidad of Miami and began working as an immigration preparer. In 2019, my business, IC IMMIGRATION SERVICES, started operations and focuses on helping people in our Hispanic community with their immigration documents. Currently, we have two offices in Weston, FL, and we have four assistants. We also have a partnership with immigration attorneys who work on cases before the court.
Currently, I just finished my first book about immigration history in America. I consider that history is a big relevant point when immigrants want to know about the system, folk, culture, and idiosyncrasies. My primary goal is to support and assist fellow immigrants who, like myself, are seeking a brighter future in this wonderful nation.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I considerer difficulties to be opportunities to grow, but when you are in the process you fight against yourself, against your thoughts, the important thing is to feel you have already reached the goal.
I had to start again but not from scratch because although I did not have the certification to practice law, nor did I have the language nor money, I did have the desire and will to be better.
I appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about IC Immigration Services?
My business aims to accompany immigrants in their immigration process from the beginning. We know how delicate the work is, and that is why we have trained and responsible personnel for better service.
We prepare immigration documents such as asylum, TPS, Humanitarian Parole, Citizenship, adjustment of Status, Work Permit, F1 Visa, Visa EB1, Visa EB2, Visa EB3, and Visa E-2. It is very important part for us to educate our people to understand the importance of being legal in this country. As CEO of IC IMMIGRATION SERVICES, my goal is for people who seek us to feel accompanied in their process and for our part of the price to be carried out in the best way. What distinguishes us from others? Our seriousness and commitment to the client.
I am teaching immigration classes for two years at an institute in La Florida, but it is important to highlight that in a few weeks, my immigration institute (Immigration Training School) will be operational, which has Florida Global University as an ally where we will teach immigration studies and workshops and we will have expert lawyers in the area.

The perspective of taking a risk for someone starting a business in another country without knowing the language or business practices but having a strong belief that everything will turn out well can be seen as both courageous and optimistic.
It requires a combination of determination, adaptability, and a positive mindset.
