Hi Lydia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My name is Lydia Bagarozza, Head Publicist and CEO of my boutique PR agency. I am also the Co-Founder of a media training school, Visibility on Purpose, alongside my business partner, Bridget Aileen Sicsko.

For over a decade, I have dedicated my career to helping brands earn the recognition they deserve through organic media exposure. I am responsible for over 4,000 pieces of press floating around on the internet and have spearheaded PR campaigns for some of the world’s top brands.
One of the main reasons I went into business for myself was the realization that many bigger agencies don’t take the time to understand their clients. When I wanted to hop on a call and hear from the founders, my colleagues would tell me to just go on the brand website and learn about them there. The problem with this is that not every business (or founder) is a branding expert… And not every business knows how to share their story well. This is why most of my services focus on “the story,” so that we can land those really big media features.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like most businesses, scaling has been a journey for me. What I’ve noticed is the key to scaling is being able to delegate. You cannot have one without the other. I’m learning how to delegate more and not let my perfectionism get in the way.

I’m not only passionate about utilizing my PR efforts to earn impactful, aligned press features for my clients, but I take pride in integrating as a valuable part of their teams.

The agency offers traditional editorial and podcast outreach, whereas Visibility on Purpose offers a large offer suite of training to meet business founders where they’re at in their PR strategy. We’re big on providing options at VOP.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Patience! Success doesn’t happen overnight.

Business has ebbs and flows, and it’s okay to experience big highs and (what feels like) big lows. The true lesson is to learn how to ride the waves of entrepreneurship. My daily walks have been a game-changer for me in that regard.
