Meet Laelanie Larach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laelanie Larach.

Laelanie Larach

Hi Laelanie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Honduras a beautiful country located in Central America that gave me a lot of inspiration behind my abstract art and modern oil paintings. I began painting at a young age and it was my dream to become a successful artist and be able to see my artwork around art fairs and art galleries around the world.

Right now, I’m based in Miami, and it has always been my goal to have my own art gallery in Florida and to create majestic coastal paintings around palm trees that are stunning for any home interior that needs unique marine paintings or contemporary art.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road, I left my country to pursue my dream of becoming a successful artist in Miami and it was a hard decision in my life, now that I’m based in Miami everything is different. I remember my first art exhibition was at the Brickell Art Walk, it was a beautiful event, and I was able to meet other recognized artists in Miami, then I was exhibiting my artwork at other art galleries and doing live art shows all over Miami.

I’m proud to say that I did everything alone with a lot of hard work and determination, I never gave up on my dream and still, I’m reaching my goal to have my artwork all over the world.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I love to do original abstract paintings with a coastal art style combined with vibrant bold colors that reflect my Hispanic background and love for our natural surroundings. All my paintings are carefully hand-painted with the finest oils on thick canvas and tropical summer colors that always brighten up my day!

Sometimes I like to create contemporary paintings with lucky eyes that are completely different from my art style, I love to play around with my art style and use different textures that make my artwork different from other artists. In my new art collection, you will find palm trees around ocean waves or colorful sunsets standing in the middle of an abstract landscape of dreams.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I have created more paintings and developed techniques that are different from my past art collections.
