Today, we’d like to introduce you to Richie Schwab.
Hi Richie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey began amidst the vibrant tapestry of New Orleans, where I immersed myself in the city’s rich culture and eclectic music scene. Upon graduating high school, I ventured into a new chapter of my life at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas.
It was at SMU that fate brought Jordan Bolch and me together, igniting a shared passion for entertainment and entrepreneurship. Together, we embarked on a quest to build an entertainment empire from scratch. What began as casual conversations on the sofa soon evolved into transformative recording sessions, culminating in the birth of our crowning achievement: Auricle Studios, nestled in the heart of Miami’s iconic Design District.
Moreover, my college years marked the inception of my journey as a music curator and performer. Inspired by my experiences at TomorrowWorld in Atlanta, Georgia, I delved into the art of DJing and music production. I created the alias Akuarium, performing exclusive shows during events like the Super Bowl and international platforms such as Colombia’s Nieve Fashion Week.
My creative process thrives on the diversity of cultures I encounter, each leaving an indelible imprint on my music. From the rhythmic pulse of New Orleans to the cosmopolitan energy of Miami, every city I’ve traversed infuses my work with its unique essence. Living across cities like New Orleans, Dallas, Atlanta, and Miami has enriched every facet of my life, offering a kaleidoscope of experiences that shape my artistic expression.
Guided by unwavering dedication and boundless creativity, Jordan and I have crafted over a hundred songs that resonate with audiences worldwide. Each track we release embodies not just our talent but our unwavering commitment to excellence. As we push boundaries and redefine success, our aim remains steadfast: to elevate our craft and dominate the charts with every new endeavor.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As I set sail on my journey, I encountered not only smooth seas but also turbulent waters. Yet, it’s through preparation and enthusiasm to tackle each obstacle that I find the most rewarding achievements.
I’ve been blessed to cultivate great friendships with powerful influencers like Jordan Bolch, Patrick Collier, Cory Enemy and Dallas Austin, whose support has been invaluable in keeping the boat rocking steady amidst the challenges.
I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Each of us is endowed with unique qualities and strengths that shape our individual journeys.
I feel immensely grateful to possess an intrinsic ability to self-motivate, drawing from an abundant wellspring of opportunities and a perpetual stream of creativity that fuels my endeavors. Operating with a dual mindset of sleep and full throttle, I approach life with unwavering persistence and an unyielding commitment to personal growth, propelling me forward with unstoppable momentum.
In the face of daunting challenges, I refuse to be deterred by what may seem impossible, choosing instead to embrace the belief that success is within reach, embodying the mantra “I’m possible.” Confronting fears head-on is not just a necessity but a source of exhilaration for me as I confront each obstacle with relentless determination.
Central to my journey are the invaluable relationships with my friends and family, whose unwavering support and encouragement provide sustenance along the way. Their presence enriches the tapestry of my existence, reminding me to cherish each moment and remain fully engaged in the present, recognizing it as a precious gift to be treasured.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I’m always looking for apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources that can help me excel in various aspects of life, whether at work or elsewhere.
Some of my favorites include the THRST app for wellness, Ayn Rand’s ‘Atlas Shrugged’ for thought-provoking insights, captivating documentaries like ‘The Last Dance’ and ESPN’s ’30 for 30′ series, and entertaining yet thought-provoking podcasts like ‘This Past Week w/ Theo Von.’
These resources provide valuable insights, motivation, and strategies to continually improve and thrive.
