Today we’d like to introduce you to Nichole Rea
Hi Nichole, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I went to school and became an RN. 8 years into it I was really frustrated with the healthcare system and afraid of losing my license based on working conditions that involved unsafe staffing conditions.
I left nursing and opened a successful photography studio which will be 10 years old in January. 🙂
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a very challenging road, being an entrepreneur. During 2020, I opened a second business which struggled and piggybacked off of my photography company until I had to close it in 2023. Juggling that along with the employees at the photography studio and being a mom to 3 elementary school aged boys was insanity!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My studio is known for being high-end and specializing in dark and moody photography. We help our clients push past their insecurities in order to see themselves in a beautiful and sometimes sensual way. I am the most proud of our commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
With AI now playing a big part in photography, I know many people are concerned that photography will die… I’m not sure how I feel about that, because at the end of the day I believe there will always be a desire for “real” photos, especially documenting childhood and special occasions.
