Hi Albert, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Well, let me take you back to where it all started. After graduating from FIU with a degree in hotel management, I dove straight into the hospitality world. My first taste of the industry was at the Hilton Hotel, where I got my hands dirty in operations. It was fast-paced and demanding, but I loved every moment of it.

But I’ve always had this fascination with luxury hospitality. So, I made the leap to join the team at the Betsy Hotel. Starting from the front desk, I worked my way up through reservations and eventually found my calling in sales. It was an incredible experience, being able to showcase the best of what the luxury boutique hotel had to offer.

Then came the opportunity of a lifetime – to be part of the pre-opening team at the Faena Miami Beach. This was a whole new level of luxury, and I was thrilled to be involved in overseeing sales for such an iconic establishment.

But as much as I loved the world of hotels, I felt a pull towards something different. That’s when I decided to transition into travel advising. With a focus on 5-star luxury leisure and group travel, particularly corporate retreats, I set out to redefine the travel experience for my clients.

It’s been quite the journey, from hotel management to luxury hospitality and now to travel advising. But every step along the way has shaped me and fueled my passion for creating unforgettable experiences for travelers around the world.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Working in the hotel and travel business has presented its fair share of challenges, but each hurdle has also been an opportunity for growth and learning.

One aspect that has been particularly demanding is the rigorous schedule inherent in the industry. Balancing the demands of work, which often extend into late hours and weekends, with personal commitments requires careful time management and prioritization.

The pressure to consistently deliver exceptional service and experiences to guests and clients alike is another significant challenge. However, it has also pushed me to continually strive for excellence and innovate in my hospitality and travel advising approach.

Encountering difficult customers or clients has been a test of patience and professionalism. Yet, it has also provided valuable opportunities to enhance communication skills and develop effective conflict-resolution strategies.

In a fast-paced and competitive industry, staying abreast of evolving trends and technologies is essential. While this necessitates ongoing adaptation and learning, it also ensures I remain at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge experiences to guests and clients.

Navigating unexpected emergencies and crises requires composure and quick thinking. These situations have reinforced the importance of resilience and adaptability, qualities that are invaluable in any professional setting.

Despite the inherent challenges, the rewards of working in the hotel and travel business are abundant. The opportunity to create memorable experiences for guests and clients and to contribute to their enjoyment and satisfaction is incredibly fulfilling. Each challenge overcome is a testament to my dedication and passion for excellence in hospitality and travel.
