Today we’d like to introduce you to Glayson LeRoy.
Hi Glayson, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
In 2017 I decided to jump into the curating and art management world with my first-ever art show “Stairwell Visuals” in Delray Beach and “Trackside Walls” in Wynwood (now Wynwood Mural Fest). With a lot of help from artists, curators, and industry movers I managed to grow my company Galera Collective into a brand that is recognized for large-scale murals, art festivals, and art shows.
Since 2017 we launched the “Stairwell Visual” art shows in Delray Beach and West Palm Beach. We have also started Wynwood Mural Fest (previous Trackside Walls) in 2019, Delray Walls in 2023 and now Bermuda Walls in 2024 with plans of adding a couple in Brazil in 2025. Starting in 2024 one of my best friends the amazing Hiero Veiga (former Miami Street Artist of the Year) has joined forces to take G Collective beyond imagination. Stay tuned for the future.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Getting to this point has not been easy as in life nothing that is good is easy. But we have had a lot of fun learning and growing, and our motto is always learning! As the world came to a standstill during the pandemic we did not.
We kept our foot on the pedal doing as many jobs as we could find during that time and some of them were really fun. From painting a celebrity memorial to painting a resort in Casey Key we managed to stay busy during a very difficult time in history.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I myself am known more for my ability to network and connect the dots. Meaning I am constantly on the lookout for more opportunities that involve large murals, live painting at events, and more. I am also a graphic designer which I utilize often to engage businesses with a potential mural for their project and or business. I pride myself on being able to bring joy to every client and project we work on.
