Meet Cinnamon White of Paula’s Garden

Today. we’d like to introduce you to Cinnamon White.

Cinnamon White

Hi Cinnamon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
My name is Cinnamon White. I’m 31 years old and from Fort Lauderdale, FL. Paulas Garden was inspired by the passing of my mom on March 16, 2023. When my mom passed, I was in a dark place and wanted to find a way to get out of it and also a way I can keep her name alive.

One day, I was at home brainstorming ideas of things I could do and I came up with me doing rose bouquets. I used to always buy my mom, grandmother, and myself flowers every other week. I always loved flowers. I truly believe in giving people their flowers while they can smell them.

I established Paulas Garden on November 28, 2023, doing my first rose bouquet, not really knowing what I was doing, and I was so surprised at how well I did. And I just took off from there I started making more rose bouquets putting out more content on Instagram and Facebook and I started to get orders. I was so nervous at first because this was my first business, and I had been getting a lot of orders every week.

I also started calling different floral shops to see if I could take floral classes to get more experience in the floral industry, and thanks to Blossom Street Florist, she welcomed me with open arms. I have learned the proper care of so many different flowers and different techniques for vases and funeral arrangements.

So not only do I do rose bouquets I offer funeral arrangements as well in hopes to do wedding also in the near future. I have also had the pleasure of giving celebrities flowers like Kelly Price and Althea from Love and Hip Hop.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This has been a great experience for me because I truly believe I’m doing something that I love and that I enjoy, it doesn’t even feel like work to me.

Being a florist has allowed me to bring the creativity out of me it’s so many things you can do with flowers. I don’t feel that I had any struggles so far because, by working at the floral shop on Saturdays, she has taught me a lot, and questions I have or anything I need help with, she is there to guide me.

We’ve been impressed with Paula’s Garden, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m a black-owned Florist. I specialize in rose bouquets and funeral arrangements. I’m known for my beautiful rose bouquets.

What sets me apart from others is how creative my rose bouquets are, and my flowers are always fresh with proper care. They can last a month. Check out my Instagram to see more of my work @Paulasgarden_

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
In order to be successful, it’s important to be willing to learn. Being open to new ideas and ways to approach my goals. Also, being creative, trying different things, and making an active effort to improve myself creates more opportunities than success.

Being successful requires creativity because it allows you to create new ideas and develop solutions for whatever challenges you may face. Creativity also makes you stand out from others.
