Today, we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Polizzi.
Hi Ryan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, but while attending high school in Mississippi, I developed a love for photography.
I fell in love with capturing the beauty of state parks and nature and had the chance to capture friends and family; that’s when I noticed the beauty in candid moments, and my passion for photography grew! I decided to make a change and I moved to South Florida to turn my passion into a business, and that’s when the real journey began!
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Nothing in this life comes easy!
That’s how I look at it, it’s hard starting in a new area with other talented photographers but I know what set me apart from everyone and I was holding on to that, with the hope that people would see.
As you know, we’re big fans of Ryan Michaels Photography. For our readers who might not be as familiar with the brand, what can you tell them about it?
As a family and child photographer, I realized that people want more than photos. They want an experience a connection in the photos, and this is what I offer. I want my clients to feel like they enjoyed their photos and feel a stress-free experience, especially if it is a family session.
I think my editing style is what sets me apart. While most photographers in Miami take bright and airy photos, I love moody and neutral tones because they make the photos unique and different. We offer different packages, and every package is different depending on what the client wants, but whether it is maternity, weddings, or child portraits, we offer it!
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
YES! Don’t let a pandemic get in the way of your dreams….. Just kidding, It is easier said than done. We Had to put our clients’ safety ahead of our business during COVID-19, and we wouldn’t have changed anything about it, we wanted to make sure our clients were safe.
It did teach us a lesson though, which is to NEVER STOP, we used the time to improve ourselves and improve our work something we will always be grateful for and we came back stronger, business-wise.
