Exploring Life & Business with Neri Santiago of Juicy Juice Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Neri Santiago.

Neri Santiago

Hi Neri, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi! My name is Neri Santiago. I am a mother, wife, and entrepreneur currently living in South Florida. I started Juicy Juice Bar during the pandemic when I realized there was a need in the Hollywood neighborhood for a healthy juice Bar. I’ve always turned to juices for immune boosters, quality energy, and fat loss. I wanted to create a safe place where you can enjoy a fresh juice, smoothie, or wellness shot right on the beach.

Fast forward a few chapters and Juicy Juice Bar was born. Our Juice Bar is easy and accessible to everyone looking for natural energy! Located on Hollywood Beach on Ocean Drive you can enjoy an assortment of Açaí bowls, fruit blends, shots, and more. All of our products are delicious and refreshing enough for a day at the beach. Stop by and experience the best juice bar in Hollywood Beach.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the challenges I encountered was to build the Juice Bar from an empty space. Since it was during the pandemic the city was working remotely, permits and approvals were taking longer than expected. It took longer than a year to finally open the Juicy Juice Bar. The wait was worth it! Being a first-time business owner and learning how to run a Juice Bar for the first time was challenging as well but it was a learning experience.

We’ve been impressed with Juicy Juice Bar, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Juicy Juice Bar is different because we make everything fresh at the moment. Our Juices are made fresh to order.  As soon as you walk into Juicy you see a beautiful fruit and vegetable display.  We have a bar where you can sit and hang out while eating healthy.  It feels like the neighborhood Cheers.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
The best part about our city is the mixed cultures, the beach and great food. The least I like is the Traffic and hurricanes.
