Meet Crystal Stern

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Stern.

Crystal Stern

Hi Crystal, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my journey in the medical field after dropping out of high school at 17 and obtaining my GED before I graduated high school. I then went to school at a fast pace Jedi assisting program and I was able to successfully graduate in 1 year with my medical assistant certificate. At that time, I was 19 and dating my high school boyfriend and I soon became pregnant with my first of 4 children at 19.

When I graduated medical assisting school, I was actually still pregnant. After graduating, I then started working for doctors around Broward County gaining the experience that led me to where I’m at today. I worked for a few years in internal medicine, pain management, obstetrics, and plastic surgery before starting My own company offering plastic surgery recovery and body sculpting services.

From 2005-2020, I worked as a medical assistant In a vary of fields while running a cleaning company offering residential and commercial cleanings. At this point I was a newly single mom of 4 and had to have control of my own schedule.  While running my cleaning business, I continued my education by obtaining multiple health care & body sculpting certifications with a vision of starting an after-surgery concierge service in the future.

In May 2021, I finally tackled my dreams and launched my newest baby. RiteLife Body & Recovery LLC. I started by offering noninvasive body sculpting services to help others feel beautiful as I felt every woman has a story that stems from the insecurity of chasing vanity. After the first month of launching my business, I booked out every month, I then opened my first plastic surgery recovery home in my own private home where we provide full accommodations to clients traveling to South, FL for cosmetic surgery procedures.

We are the piece of the puzzle clients didn’t know they needed. Surgery, especially BBL’s is one of the most high risk surgical procedures and Miami treats it as a minor thing. Rite Life helps clients by providing professional care , safety & comfort. Our services consists of  picking clients up at arrival , transporting them to their surgery center for Preop, surgery day, and post-op appointments, monitoring vitals for signs of complications, preparing meals, and promoting healthy nutrition and hydration, assist in daily nonmedical activities like washing their compression garments aka fajas, showering assistance and aftercare massages in a safe private home setting.

RLR  partners with a 3rd party nursing service that also IV therapy that helps the clients feel better by restoring fluids and iron after surgery due to blood loss. Rite Life Body & Recovery is one of Miami’s top plastic surgery aftercare providers. We are a one-stop shop that offers everything from post-op recovery home stay and care, mobile private care, mobile massages, and med spa services by our licensed medical doctor.

RLR has now successfully provided services to over 600 patients flying in from all over the world and exceeded sales over $1 million dollars. Not to bad for a high school dropout lol Within five years I almost lost it all to having a successful business.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to Never give up! They’ll be good days, they’ll be bad days . What’s important is fighting for what your heart desires and working towards that goal . It’s ok to fail and try again. You can’t fail without trying. Giving up is because you want to and I want nothing more than to succeed to be an example to my children and others who might’ve gone through similar life experiences

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My free time is spent usually with my kids and family. Enjoying the Florida life. Boats, pools , eating out, shopping, laughing and just having fun while living.   Family is big too me, whenever I’m not working I try to spend it creating new memories with my loved ones.
