Today, we’d like to introduce you to Tim Arnwine.
Hi Tim, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I have been a ghost-hunting investigator for 20 years. I have written and published books on the subject and have given lectures on the subject for over 12 years. I have never experienced a deceased relative at my beside. As a retired paramedic, I have seen a lot of death, and I began to think. There has to be something more after we pass.
I have investigated private residents, businesses, schools, hotels, abandoned psych hospitals, abandoned prisons, and the majority of the well-known historic locations throughout South Florida. I have gained the knowledge to operate the equipment used in investigations ranging from the “old school” to the most up-to-date equipment.
The ghost-hunting genre has exploded since my journey began. I always look forward to giving lectures on ghost-hunting techniques, processes, and equipment to the growing population interested in our field. I enjoy leading “public investigations” at historic locations.
I am the co-founder of Afterlife Allstars, an amazing group of investigators. I look forward to an incredible journey of investigating, looking for answers to people’s concerns, and teaching people how to conduct an honest and professional investigation.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When I began investigating, we used simple tools such as baby powder, compasses, and film cameras. One challenge has been keeping up with the explosion of more savvy equipment.
The greatest change has been how people used to feel and react to the field of ghost hunting. Over the past few years, when people notice what I do… they now share their experiences.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We have three goals in our field.
- Look for answers to our client’s concerns.
- Teach people how to conduct an honest investigation, be proficient with the equipment used during an investigation, and the proper way to review evidence.
- To give back to the community and our historic location partners by conducting “public investigations” as fundraisers for their location.
We never charge for an investigation; we are there to find answers for the client and conduct experiments to better our field.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 crisis?
During Covid-19, the locations were generally shut down. So, I took advantage of the time to conduct experiments to move the field of ghost hunting ahead.
