Meet Milica Ristic of Milor Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Milica Ristic.

Milica Ristic

Hi Milica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After burning out from constant work as a Business Developer in a New York City interior design firm, I found myself lost in the whirlwind of events, networking, and client engagements. However, in 2018, a turning point arrived when I began to heed my intuition, initially dismissed but persistently nudging me towards a deeper purpose.

Googling “How to find purpose in life” led me to Bob Proctor’s website and his seminar, “The Art of Goal Creation,” where profound revelations resonated deeply within me. Over three days of intense reflection, tears flowed as Bob elucidated the power of our thoughts and emotions in shaping our realities.

In attending Bob’s Paradigm Shift event in LA, I experienced a profound transformation over seven days that altered the trajectory of my life. Engaging one of his coaches, and certifying in his institute, I made pivotal decisions: leaving my job, establishing my own firm, and embarking on a journey of coaching others.

What began as part-time coaching swiftly evolved into a full-time commitment as I witnessed the remarkable transformations in my clients. My journey has been one of self-discovery, empowerment, and fulfillment, a testament to the profound impact of aligning with one’s true purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Leaving the confines of a 9-5 job is no easy feat. I experienced a blend of fear and excitement during this transition, where excitement ultimately prevailed. However, my journey took an unexpected turn when I brought a business partner into the mix, leading to an unfortunate encounter marked by passive-aggressive manipulation.

Despite the hardship, this experience became a catalyst for profound self-discovery and personal growth. It took a year to reclaim my confidence, rebuild my client base, and confront new challenges head-on. I’ve come to view each obstacle as a valuable lesson, recognizing that every challenge serves a purpose in our journey of self-improvement. Life and business are akin to a captivating roller coaster ride, wherein we must constantly evolve and refine ourselves to navigate the twists and turns with grace.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Introducing Milor Coaching—where “OR” in Hebrew symbolizes Light. I illuminate pathways to excitement, inspiration, and hope, empowering clients to ignite their inner magic. Specializing in spiritually-minded female entrepreneurs, I craft bespoke strategies for success on their terms, maximizing productivity while minimizing effort.

Additionally, “Coaching Coffee with Mili” workshops provide monthly, bilingual coaching sessions—free of charge—to female business owners seeking immediate mindset shifts. Witnessing client transformations fuels my own journey of self-awareness and growth.

I firmly believe in collective empowerment and collaboration, advocating for women’s advancement and community prosperity. As I often tell my clients and audiences, if I—a non-native English speaker without traditional credentials—can manifest my dreams, imagine the possibilities with support and fluency. Anything is achievable with belief and action. Let’s rise together.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
You might not believe it but growing up, I was incredibly shy, hesitant to ask questions, and lacked self-confidence. Despite this, my love for people and helping others always shone through. While initially considering dentistry, I ultimately pursued a degree in Economics, specializing in Human Resources with a focus on motivating and advancing employees.

My passion for music and dance flourished alongside my academic journey, attending music school concurrently with middle school. Despite a strict upbringing and moments of unhappiness, I found solace and fulfillment in sports, excelling in volleyball and basketball.

During middle school, I also delved into ballroom dancing, reflecting my enduring love for music and movement, sparked by my fascination with horses from my grandfather’s influence. Now, as a mindset and leadership coach, I’ve transformed my experiences into strengths, leveraging my past to empower others on their journeys.
