Today we’d like to introduce you to Fernando Farias and Karenne Koessler. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Rebel Love was created in 2020 by Guitarist Fernando Farias and singer Karenne Koessler. Their first single “High Tides” was written in Karenne’s childhood home in Miami and was released in the summer of 2020.
The duo is inspired by acts such as Afrobeta, Daft Punk, Qveen Herby, Indilla, and Ozric Tentacles. Their Latin & European roots are the thread that connects these various genres seamlessly and authentically.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As an independent band with a small team, the duo takes charge of all creative and business decisions. The duo often welcomes additional musicians to their stage performances such as Keanu Reedz and looks forward to expanding this small team with more skilled and talented professionals.

Rebel Love’s music is authentic and true to Fernando and Karenne as they are the sole composers, writers, producers, mixing and mastering engineers of each song. Every minute and large decision on music, creative, and logistical was made by either or both of them.
