Hi Scarlet, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My name is Scarlet Constant and I am a Haitian American born and raised here in Miami., FL. One year ago I built a social media platform via which to provide anticipatory guidance and basic pediatric advice from the perspective of a physician, mother, and confidant, alleviating some of the fear and confusion that many parents struggle with. THis is when I realized that there was a need for a private practice that offered just that. As a pediatrician in our community, and as a working mother of two, I have a unique understanding of parental stresses and concerns. Knowledge and comfort that used to be passed down from generation to generation no longer do as society has evolved. Searching the internet only compounds the problem. 21st-century parents need a reliable resource to serve as a trusted advisor. I aim to be that trusted advisor to my patients. Recently opened a boutique style pediatric practice here in Miami that caters to families that want to develop a personal and meaningful relationship with their pediatrician. At Constant Care Pediatrics, there isn’t a revolving door of staff and doctors instead patients have the comfort of the same doctor who values their time and addresses their needs.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I am fortunate to say that I had an abundance of support from my family and colleagues which made this journey much easier than expected. I firmly believe that the road to success is rarely linear. While I wouldn’t necessarily label them as challenges, there were certainly unexpected changes and turns along the way.
These moments of unpredictability often provided valuable opportunities for growth and learning. Embracing these twists and turns has been an integral part of my journey, ultimately contributing to my personal and professional development.
I’m grateful to say that I’ve been fortunate to have had an abundance of support from both my family and colleagues throughout my journey. Their unwavering encouragement and assistance made navigating the challenges much more manageable than I had anticipated. Their support has been invaluable, and I attribute much of my success to the strong network of support that surrounded me.

Constant Care Pediatrics is a boutique-styled practice that was designed to eliminate wait time and offer personalized high-level service for children’s health care needs. Our medical staff is equipped to deliver efficient treatment and ensure each patient receives the time, attention, and care they deserve.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love that our city is the perfect combination of a small town and a metropolis. I do not like that our traffic has significantly multiplied over the past 3 years. Miami holds a special place in my heart for its unique blend of metropolitan energy and small-town familiarity. The city’s cultural diversity is something I deeply appreciate, as it infuses every corner with electrifying activity and a rich tapestry of traditions.
What I find especially captivating is how Miami has managed to maintain a sense of community amidst its rapid growth. Having been raised here and now practicing as a pediatrician, I’m fortunate to witness this evolution firsthand. Additionally, being able to care for the children of my elementary school friends adds a profound layer of connection to this vibrant city. Watching Miami thrive and evolve over the years has only deepened my love and understanding of its people and culture.
I find the overpopulation in Miami to be a significant issue. The rapid development of our city has led to an influx of people, resulting in worsening traffic congestion and strained services. For example, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for patients to secure timely doctor’s appointments due to the limited availability of healthcare services. This overcrowding diminishes the quality of life for residents and poses challenges that need to be addressed as Miami continues to grow.
