Hi Melissa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I entered the healthcare field in 2010 as a registered nurse and later became a nurse practitioner in 2019. Celebrating my 30th birthday, I treated myself to Botox, sparking my interest in the Aesthetic industry. This journey led me to explore treatments for maintaining a youthful appearance.
Witnessing others’ desire to defy time and gravity, I felt compelled to leverage my education to help them. Despite my love for bedside work, family responsibilities led me to seek a flexible career. In 2021, I embarked on my first Botox course, temporarily pausing due to the arrival of my youngest (of 3) that year.
With intensive training and guidance from Jessie and Rob from Lyf Aesthetics, I made the life-changing decision to go full throttle with this. My husband who is not only my life partner is also my business partner, beside me we successfully ventured into aesthetics, and a year later, we are thriving with a bustling business.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
While the journey hasn’t been excessively challenging, my main struggles revolve around negative comments and trolls concealing themselves online. It has required significant effort to realize that these comments stem from a dark place within the individuals.
Aside from that, I’ve been fortunate to receive overwhelming support and positive feedback, particularly from those closest to me, especially within the aesthetics community where we share a tight-knit and supportive bond.

I operate a small aesthetic space with a focus on embracing beauty in an elegant manner. Vanity Point signifies a celebration of self-love and acceptance of one’s appearance without shame. Our philosophy centers on enhancing natural beauty and gracefully aging through strategic and beautiful approaches.
Our services include weight loss options, regenerative IV treatments, tox, dermal fillers for volume loss and dermal weakening, medium-depth peels, microneedling, and collagen-stimulating treatments. I aim to convey to readers that my space is a secure haven where they will receive the utmost respect and undivided attention.
What distinguishes me is my commitment to providing clients with comprehensive information and presenting all available options before any decision is made. My goal is to empower them to make well-informed decisions at all times.
What does success mean to you?
Success, to me, is an internal fulfillment – a pursuit that engages and brings joy. Life attains a sense of accomplishment when you’re genuinely immersed in something you love!
