Hi Jesica, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a host by nature, I like to collect items to decorate, style tables, and love vintage stores. I started collecting many years ago with the idea of starting a business. In 2017, after a trip to LA, where I saw people having parties and picnics at the beach, I thought we were missing that in Miami, so I ran the idea by my family, and that is how we started.
At first, we did picnic for 2 only, using pallets, and then we started getting requests for bigger parties, so we began getting more decor, pillows, etc, and my dad started building tables and other items for our picnics. Now, we do picnics and events for up to 70 people, adding tablescape styling, furniture rentals, party rentals, and more.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We learned a lot along the way, in the beginning we had to buy items for each event that was requested and took many hours of shopping (not that I am complaining!), but it was tiring. But mostly it was a smooth ride, and our clients made it super easy too!

Galpon, which means warehouse in Spanish, is a Picnics & Events Company. We are a family business, I get to work with my parents every day. My mom and I are in charge of shopping, of course, and styling, my dad is the builder. He builds our tables more stations, donut stands, and more. Everything that we do, we do it with love, and we take care of every detail like it was an event for a family member.
We specialize in beach, park, and backyard picnics for every occasion. Now, we have Galpon Events, where we offer table styling services, furniture and decor rental, and party styling. Galpon offers a variety of options when it comes to decor, we offer many colors or styles. We work closely with the clients to make sure we understand their vision, and what are they celebrating, so we can make the best memorable experience.
