Today, we’d like to introduce you to Gwendolyn Morrow.
Hi Gwendolyn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
The story behind my brand. I had a best friend named Life and this was around the time of the George Floyd incident. He knew I wanted my own business a boutique one day, lol, he was my biggest fan he said why not call it B.A.D. L.I.F.E. So B.A.D. L.I.F.E originally stood for BLACK and dangerous but as African Americans we were once labeled black and dangerous, I was like nah I want something that describes a woman he would always call me Beautiful.
We are here around COVID time and during this time with everything we went through in the world and normal life’s ups and downs. I didn’t let it stop me from that time frame starting in 2020. I applied for a business bank account, EIN, and duns number got the information for my branding, and logo, got my DBA, and became a tax preparer, notary, and leasing agent.
All at the same time he said you are determined and devoted to this business, aren’t you? I said yes, he said there you go you a Beautiful Ambitious Devoted Determined queen and if you ask me that describes every hard-working queen. When I lost my best friend in 2022 I took my pain and turned it into what I love doing the most and that’s my brand S.O.U.L L.I.F.E is my men’s brand in memory of my best friend it stands for Secret Of Universal Living Living In Freedom Everday.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road it has definitely been a struggle. I have days when I want to quit but quitting is something I just can’t do and I’m not how will I ever know if I could succeed if I don’t try and that’s also how I came up with B.A.D.D L.I.F.E. It describes a woman and the struggles of everyday life is hard but as women, we push to succeed. The struggle I have is getting customers, advertising, and getting people to actually pay attention to my brand.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

I would like for the readers to know my brand tells a story and each of us is unique. What we wear should be unique to wear your confidence. Who said affirmations couldn’t be in the fashion you wear?
