Meet Blanca Wall of The Wall Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Blanca Wall.

Blanca Wall

Hi Blanca, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I’m originally from Sweden and moved to Miami as an International Student to follow my passion for Interior Architecture. Trained in the fine arts, I’ve had a lifelong passion for design, architecture, and art. I was delighted to study and get my design degree from Florida International University and have been thrilled to have been a part of the ever-evolving city of Miami, watching it grow and prosper during my last 30 years living here.

After working for several big-name firms in the city, I decided to strike out on my own in 2013 and just last year my small but mighty interior design studio just celebrated 10 years in business.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?Moving to the US as an exchange student and later for college as an international student at the age of 17, was intimidating at first, but taught me so much. After graduation it was imperative to find a sponsor to allow me to continue staying in the US and continue to gain experience in both design and architecture. Although a long and sometimes difficult journey,  I’m grateful for the opportunity that my education and independence helped forge the path for my professional journey that followed.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Wall Studio is a multi-disciplinary Interior Design firm, specializing in custom residential and boutique hospitality projects. We offer comprehensive design services from specifying architectural finishes and collaborating with developers, builders, and artisans to customizing millwork and furnishings. We guide our clients through every step of the renovation process from concept to completion.

I know that good Interior Design depends on excellent communication. “Great design is about building a lifestyle, and life is in the details”, it’s imperative to listen, present, and professionally execute a plan shaped around the client’s style, timeline, and budget. With a habit of tailoring personal solutions, I’m committed to delivering exceptional results that exceed our clients’ expectations.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up on a farm in Sweden, close to nature and the natural world and all it has to offer. I would be busy building tree houses in the forest in the summertime, one of my favorite parts of this was to decorate them with wallpaper and furnishings and whatever else I could find. I learned resilience early on and culturally the belief that work and diligence have very much a moral value and help create a rewarding routine from which I have benefitted.
