Kostia Lucky is a Ukrainian-born virtuoso, globally acclaimed for his unique approach to the violin. A luminary in the realm of classical music, Kostia’s stellar career is filled with numerous prestigious awards and international competition victories. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree and Performer’s Certificate from the renowned Eastman School of Music and is currently pursuing his master’s degree at the esteemed Frost School of Music.
Beyond the stage, Kostia is a humanitarian at heart. When in Ukraine, he harnessed the power of music to uplift his people during times of strife, organizing benefit concerts that raised funds and spirits amidst the turmoil of war. Now, Miami bears witness to his artistry, as he graces the city’s most exclusive events, from luxurious galas and corporate celebrations to high-profile benefits and fundraisers. His performances have left a mark at distinguished gatherings such as Art Basel, Miami Boat Show, Swim Week, and others.
Kostia maintains an active performing schedule worldwide, playing a wide variety of genres and styles, always giving himself in full to his audience. He has collaborated with a plethora of accomplished musicians and artists, sharing his music on stages across Ukraine, France, Germany, Costa Rica, Canada, Romania, the Czech Republic, South Korea, and the United States.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
After graduating in December 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Music and a Performer’s Certificate, Kostia returned to Ukraine amidst the outbreak of war. Undeterred, he continued to play concerts, raising funds for soldiers and providing solace to those affected by the conflict. He was drafted into the Ukrainian Army and was able to escape the frontlines by securing admission to a Master’s Program at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami.
He continued to perform in Berlin and France playing solo at festivals like Fete de la Musique and raising funds for Ukrainian people in need until he was able to return to the USA. Since August 2022 Kostia has been pursuing a Master of Music degree in the studio of Professor Charles Castleman.
